Hi!

My name is Bryan Hare (You may have already noticed this but that is ok ^_^). I am 19 ( 20 in august) and I am a sophomore at Champlain College in the Game Programing major (I am sure this is redundant but again I am sure its fine). I originally came here from Windsor VT. Right now I am living in Spinner place room 406 (so feel free to say hi!). I've got some pretty chill roommates, Dan Porter and Allison Seffles.

I'll be blogging here for however long they will have me so I'm sure you will all get to know me over the next...well however long that is ^_^.

So right now I am working with the EMC (The Emergent Media Center) on 2 projects over the summer.

Here are my bosses!

Ray is a really cool guy. I met him while I was working on a project with IBM to make a media package for high school students to get them interested in technical fields.

Ann started the Emergent Media center here at Champlain and also started the game majors here. She is awesome period.

One of the project is a game designed to teach college students the process of information literacy. Information literacy is the process of refining gathered information and synthesizing it to solve a problem, like writing an essay or playing a video game. The project is set to be finished in August and most likely will be used in the core classes next year as a teaching tool, and by the looks of it should be pretty entertaining.

The second job I have through the EMC is a project with Mass general hospital. We are working with our manager Ryan to make a simulation for emergency responders, to help them better co ordinate communication between different groups of responders, as an alternative or supplement to large scale real life training exorcises. This project will likely last for a year or so and more if we get another grant so I am really excited about it.

Outside of work I also have a project that I am working on with a few friends. Its a game that we are using to launch what could be a small company and will be awesome. Ill have more news on it as we develop it but here are some concept pieces of the game.

So this week has been pretty fun my friend Tetu came up and chilled for the week so we hung out when I didn't have to work (which sucks because I really would have preferred to chill more) but its been fun!

Also got to go see an MC Chris concert last night which was excellent.

I had a lot of fun at the concert, and I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the lineup this summer. Hawthorn heights Armor for Sleep on June 15th and evilHero, Rush Angel and B4Now on the 18th. Definitely hoping for some more shows but Im glad they have some good bands headed up.

Well thats it for me I have to drive back to Windsor to see my Girlfriend this weekend, and drop Tetu off ^_^ Ill leave you with some random work pics! We have a good time!
