Last Saturday, we had a soccer tournament. I was nice for everyone to come together and enjoy the sport from our childhood. Let me tell you a small story. When I was a kid at the age of five soccer was my favor sport. I used to play for a team called "Dinamond." We were the best in our street and we stayed undefeated for many years until we all started loosing interest in football (soccer). However, it was great to play football in under the rain...(miss this feeling). Our ball was made in plastic bag tights together. We enjoyed this pretty much everywhere at school, home, in street because the only thing that we needed was the ball. Sometimes we would turn a basketball court into a football field. It was much fun. So last Saturday, we turned a basketball field into a football yard.

The price in this tournament was $125 worth of a gift certificate.

Hi everyone, this is exciting semester. I don't know about you, but I'm so excited to be back in Vermont after four months in Montreal. Once again "WELCOME BACK." This semester I'm hoping to get some good stuff to post on my blog. If anyone has an idea or something that I should talk about on my blog please let me know.
I'm so glad that you and I got a chance to see the last year of the first decade of the 21st century. It is exciting and it is a great privilege for all of us that don't take life for granted. It is also exciting to see this defining moment in the history of the United States the first African-american president moves into the White House.
I know also many of you made new resolutions for 2009. I wish you a good luck. How ever I want you to remember that anytime you keep doing what you do, you end up with the same result. So, I advise you to try something new and fresh, to get a different result. For example, if you used the front door to get into your house everyday, you will still get the same picture of how your living room is setup. But if you try to get into your house through the back door, you might get a different picture of the same living room.
What I'm try to say here it is that if you didn't do a good job last semester and your GPA is low, you might have to change your method of studying. I believe that in life we all get 100% chance to be successful in life. Your success in life depends on how you use this 100%. For example, if you use 10% of your chance toward your education and 90% of enjoying life by doing something no-productive, you are going to fail in your studies. Make sure that when you divide this chances in your life, you use a high percentage (or put much effort) in what you think it is important for you right now.
Thanks for reading my blog and once again welcome back. We missed you. Take care.
Someone said "The best life is the rest of life."
Peace.

The pieces that I'm about to show were made by different canadian aritists and they all have a meaning into it. These pieces are located mostly on Sherbrooke street.
This first sculpture is the work of Richard Mason

Twin 6' Hearts is my favor sculpture. It was made by Jim Dine. These iconics symbolize love. The Twin 6' Hearts is a gift from the International Friends of the Montreal Museum.

In fornt of the museum of Fine Arts on Sherbrooke street there is a bronze sculpture entitled Claudia is of a strong serene cow at rest. It was made by canadian artist Joe Fafard.

The next piece is call "CACTUS" made by Van Fisher

At the corn of Peel and Sherbrooke street there is a sculpture I admire the most. It is call "LA TENDRESSE" (tenderness) by Paul Lancz. It describes a relationship between mother and child.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Please let me know if there is something you want know about the city of Montreal so while I'm here I can look at it and tell you. Bye

Last Tuesday we visited a company called CONTERM. Conterm offers depot and repair services to the other companies that use containers. It is located in Montreal at the industrial park. It is a small company with large responsibilities.

When a truck comes in carrying a container that need to be fixed. The container is inspected for all damages and registered in the system at the gates.

Here is a container in repair shop

After the repair, it has to be repainted. But you cannot just use any color. Each company has its own color. For instance a company such as Hapag-lloyd uses orange color on its container. This is the room in which each container would go through after the repair shop. After the painting all the information written on the container have to be put back again.

This company is not just repair container, based on the request of clients sometimes it transforms containers into a store instrument.

Walking through the containers yard

The challenge in this business at this time is that Chine is able to produce containers at the cheap price compare to our companies. Because the material needed are cheaper in China. Here is a one bedroom that was made from a container of 53 footer high cube.

Take a look inside. It is beautiful and it costs only $35,000.

Here we were learning how to open up a container. You might think that is easy, but it is not.

So...today along with a group of students and teachers in International Business major, we went to visit one of the largest port in Canada "Port de Montréal." The port is located 1600 km inland. Every year the port handles more than 20 millions of tonnes from vessels that come from around the world. I will encourage anyone who is interested in international trade to visit their website for more information: http://www.port-montreal.com/

THis is a vessel waiting to be unloaded. So the guy who gave us a tour said that they will start to unload it tomorrow and they vessel plan to leave on Sunday. The large vessel that the port can handle at the port of MOntreal, carries 4200 containers.

Here is the carrier, which is a huge machine that moves the container from the truck to the train. That container is 40 feet and probably high cube (9'6 high).

At the Soulfest we had four stages where different musicians performed and this one was the main stage where the popular artists sang.

This is a group of three girls called "Maeve." They were amazing, I really like their music.

Here is the funny story, while I was walking in the camp trying to find my friends I came across of these three guys. Then, they asked if I wanted free hugs (kind for reminded free hugs in VT), so I said yes why not. Honesty, I ended up hugging more that twenty people. Then we decided to take a picture together. It was cool.

Another happy moment was after listening to the Maeve (the three girls in previous picture) at the top of mountain, I took the chair lift to go back at the camp. I shared the chair lift with a couple from MA and we had a good conversation and the wife asked me if she could play music for me with her guitar. So, on this picture, I was sitting in their van, enjoying good musics.

Hey guys,
I come to announce you that I got a new job at Echo Center in Burlington. It is a really good job. My job it custodian. I clean all floors for like four hours and then I walk around just learning about our world. For example, I learned that 13000 year ago the Lake Champlain was part of an Ocean.
