Hey guys,

So it’s mid-term time and things are tensing up. In Dr. Jones’ intelligence writing class we are writing all sorts of briefs and papers on our “account countries. In Islam we are preparing for our midterm test and getting in to modern history and the jihadist movements. In Social Psychology we are conducting more experiments to study human behavior. Our most recent test was on a person’s willingness to help another. We place a person (confederate) next to vending machines with a small amount of money, but not enough to buy anything. The confederate then asks people passing by if they would give them money and we observe and record the data. We have found that a very large amount of people are not willing to give their money to someone who is asking for it.

Other than class stuff this last week has been pretty uneventful. We had a three-day weekend last week, so a lot of students left Prescott for a short vacation. Unfortunately, I am beyond broke so my weekend consisted of homework and hanging out with one of my friends that came to visit from the Daytona campus. On Monday I did head down to Phoenix to take my friend to the airport. I was shocked at the difference in weather in just a 1 ½ drive. I was about 35-40 degrees up here in Prescott and 65-70 in Phoenix. Most of the snow has melted away but occasionally at night we get a light layer of snow that soon melts once the sun rises.

Well everyone here is looking forward to spring break. We have the week of March 16th-20th off and we are all counting down the days. I’m pretty sure I’m just going to head back to CA to surf but there are a few other possibilities. There is a chance that I’ll either head back out to see some friends in Daytona or even fly all the way to Scotland to investigate an academic program I am looking into. I guess it doesn’t really matter what I do, as long as I get a break from the tension of college life. Well I’m going to head off to the post office. Until next time…
