The Countdown Begins...

Hi everyone!

Well, I can't believe it's already April. I graduate in about a month. Wow, time flies so fast in your last semester. I'm sure you all heard about the crazy amount of rain we've had in Evansville. Right before Easter, we had eight inches of rain! Roads were closed. The ground was so saturated, it could not control all the water. The funny part is that I went home right after the rain ended, and the next day, we got a foot of snow in my hometown. What a way to welcome in Spring!

I had a wedding Easter weekend, so I could not stay long at home. The wedding was beautiful. My roommate from last year got married to her high school sweetheart. It was cute. The most interesting part for me was being on campus for a holiday. I live about six hours away from Evansville, so I normally go home on holidays. It was surprising how many kids were on campus, and the fun that we had. Everyone went bowling together and then we made our own Easter. It was a nice time.

Last weekend, I went to an Accepted Student Reception in Merrillville, IN. I was able to meet my parents there. I had a great time meeting the students and learning about them. It was a lot of fun travelling with the UE crew as well. I'm really glad the Admissions Office asked me to go.

This week should be interesting. I have a small break in between projects, so I'm enjoying my free time. I'm trying to hang out with my girlfriends more and work on job hunting. It's amazing how quickly May will be here. I just hope I'm ready for it!

We have Open House this weekend as well. I hope your coming. Cross your fingers it doesn't rain. It's supposed to rain the night before. An organization I'm in, Leadership Academy, is hosting a softball tournament that day as well to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Evansville. It should be a busy day. At least I will have all day Sunday to relax before we start another week.

I hope I didn't talk your ear off too much. Enjoy the spring weather, or I hope you have spring weather. And stay dry.
