Thanksgiving break this year fell two weeks before the end of the quarter. It was a welcome mini-break, sort of a teaser for the four weeks we get off come mid-December. This year I went up to Fresno with a couple friends (and their kid) to celebrate with their families. We had a great time, eating and celebrating and giving thanks for the blessings we’d received. (I even managed to get some homework done!)

I’m thankful for little breaks, like a last breath before diving into the craziness of the last two weeks. I’m thankful for friends with whom I can live and enjoy life, and God has blessed me with lots of great people with whom I can cultivate community. I’m thankful for family, from my parents in Hong Kong to my eldest brother and his family in Australia to my middle brother and his family in California. I’m thankful for Fuller, and for my last couple of years here. It’s been a challenging, and at times difficult, time, but it has most definitely been a rewarding time as well, in terms of what I’ve learned, in terms of the experiences I’ve had, in term of the great friends I’ve made.

There is much to be thankful for, and I can’t even list a fraction of these blessings. I hope you had as happy a Thanksgiving as I did, wherever you were. (And that you didn’t have to watch your football team get beat up on by the Cowboys on national TV.)
