Hey all! I wanted to tell you a little more about me. I am the HBU Campus Visit Coordinator and I'm an Admissions Counselor for the Fort Bend School District and Cypress Creek High School. I have been working at HBU for almost 3 years now and have loved every minute of it. Before HBU, I worked for 107.5 KHITS in Houston...anyone listen to Oldies?

High School: Cypress Creek High School, class of 2001
College: University of North Texas, BA in Communication Studies
Masters: Houston Baptist University, MBA, will graduate December 2009!

Hobbies: I love music, going to concerts, reading, being outside, riding bikes, reality TV, Facebook, and animals!

10 Fun Facts About Me:
1. I have a 5 year old chihuahua named Tucker. He is my baby and is so spoiled! I really like to dress him up! He hates it, but I love it.

2. I am obsessed with any type of animal. I really love the HBU turtles in Husky Pond.

3. I am getting married in 1 week! My new last name will be Purifoy. My fiance, Jason is the assistant director of sales and marketing at La Torretta Del Lago Resort and Spa on Lake Conroe. We met at the Houston Rodeo a few years ago!

4. I used to show dogs in professional dog shows. I showed my family dog, Kris Kringle. Kringle was born on Christmas Eve and passed away at Christmas 15 years later.

5. My favorite band is Aerosmith. I am so excited to see them for the third time in concert this July.

6. As noted earlier, I love going to concerts and used to work in radio. With those 2 combinations I have met tons of musicians and bands including Kenny Chesney, Pat Green, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Blink 182, Sum 41, 311, Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, Rivers from Weezer, Ashlee Simpson and many more. Can you tell I love rock, but used to work in country music?

7. I was in a sorority in college- Pi Beta Phi. Below was my house!

8. I am obsessed with peacocks! I think they are so pretty. The place where Jason and I are getting married has lots of peacocks that run around and make weird noises.

9. I love scary movies!

10. My brother goes to Texas State University, my step-sisters went to UH and Texas A&M, and my soon to be sister-in-laws go to Sam Houston State and UT Arlington. Ask me anything about universities in Texas- I pretty much know the scoop!

Happy Almost-Summer everyone! HBU just hosted Spring Fling a couple of weeks ago outside of the Lake House Residence College. This is an annual event hosted by Student Programming Board (SPB) that is free for all students!

Admissions hosted a table this year. We had balloon darts!!!! Everyone who played got candy, but the grand prizes were HBU t-shirts and our famous stuffed Husky pups....they are so cute! Ashley, Dianne and I had so much fun at Spring Fling. Who doesn't love music, snow cones and games?
