Welcome Back!

Wow! This school year has just been flying by! So, I'm very glad to be back in the office-I was out for two weeks recruiting in south Texas and Corpus and let me tell you it was hot! I met a lot of interested students though and ate a lot of good food which was my problem my first year here at HBU. I gained like 20 pounds from all the food I ate-it's hard to say "no" but I've learned my lesson and I'm trying to be good. This was also my first year to be on the road during my birthday-which was a little hard. I did enjoy it though because my best friend lives in south Texas and she made me cupcakes for my bday. I actually met her at HBU and we've been friends since our freshman year. We were tour guides together (ambassadors) so she helped me at some of the fairs too. Here's an old pic:

You make friends for life in college-something to look forward to while you're here!

Back Home!

Hey everyone! These past two weeks in Dallas have flown by! I had a great time meeting new students and school counselors.
You may not know this about me, but I am terrible with directions. I could be holding the map in my hand and still get completely lost. I still get lost in Houston here and there. Sad, but true. So of course I got lost in Dallas, but not nearly as much as I expected. On multiple occasions I was confused by signs like this:

Just kidding. Although, I absolutely felt that way sometimes.

If you have not come to check out campus yet, you are in luck! Preview weekend is coming up on October 2-3. It is a great time to meet other prospective students and see what HBU is all about. Visit our website at www.hbu.edu/visit

Hope to see you then!

Me and the mini van! Soccer Moms Unite!!

While I am out here in Tyler & Ft. Worth, and between fairs, I am stopping by some key churches and talking with Youth Ministers about getting FOCUS & Refuge booked! I think I have told you all about them before; but to recap: FOCUS & Refuge are two music ministry groups. FOCUS this year is an all girl performance group, while Refuge is a full worship band!! They are both amazing!!! I am so blessed with the students the Lord placed in the groups this year.

Dallas, TX!

Hey Guys:

It's me Page, coming to you from Dallas, TX! As Ashley mentioned earlier travel season is upon us and HBU has hit the road traveling. I have been in Dallas for a week now and its been raining everyday. The sun did peek out this weekend so that was good. My time in Dallas as been spent traveling to different high schools and cities sharing my love for HBU. It so much fun to meet different students and their families while at college fairs. I also love getting to see my friends from other universites.

Something important coming up for most colleges and universities is preview weekend. This is a time for you to come and visit campus and get more insight to the university you are visiting. Here at HBU our first preview weekend for the year is October 2nd and 3rd. Make sure you check out this link and get registered. http://www.hbu.edu/visit

Hope to see you soon! Have a great rest of the week.

Go Greek at HBU!

Over the summer, I was asked to oversee the sororities here at HBU! Can I tell you how excited and honored I am! There are several options for HBU women who would like to join a sorority. The four sorority options are Alpha Chi Omega, Phi Mu, Sigma Phi Lambda, and Sigma Lambda Gamma.

Whatever option you choose, I know you will be happy that you went Greek! All of the sororities at HBU focus on sisterhood, community service and scholarship. Let me know if you have any questions regarding being in a sorority at HBU. You can also follow our twitter updates at http://twitter.com/HBUGreek

For more information on going Greek at HBU, email me or click HERE.
