FYS Service Project

All HBU fresman are required to take a course called Freshman Year Seminar (FYS) which aids in the transition from high school to college. This is my second year teaching FYS and it is so much fun! I co-teach with Bob and we have a great class.

Part of the course requires a service project - this year our class went to Kolter Elementary to help with their International Festival. Kolter is a unique elementary school in that it requires their students to choose a language to specialize in starting in kindergarten - they can choose from French, Spanish, Japanese, or Chinese.

Our entire class before the start of the festival:

Overall, I think our class enjoyed our service project! I am so blessed to be able to teach such a great group of kids!
