Piece of Cake, Piece of Pie...

Registration! I know it sounds so overwhelming, but it gets so much easier. I remember when I was a freshman I was so timid and scared of registering. It took me FOREVER!! It would seriously take me like an hour and a half to try and get all my classes together, and then I would go back and check it OVER and OVER again.

Yesterday, I registered in approximately 5 minutes. All I did was plug in the numbers. I already knew the times of classes I wanted to take, and BAM! All done! : ) Piece of Cake!!

I'm excited about the Spring semester. I know several classes that I'll be taking with friends and sisters, and that's what makes it the most enjoyable!

I'm excited for this weekend...I've got a ton of A-Chi-O stuff to do!

Our basketball boys play Marquette this weekend! It's gonna be a BIG game! So excited for them, wish I could be there!! Wish them luck, and tune into the game if ya can!!

Go Huskies!!!

Rollin with my homies...

So last week was Homecoming and it was really fun! The week was packed with crazy activities and it was super busy!

Here's a recap of some of favorite times...

-Organization Battle...we did this dizzy bat race. It was HILARIOUS! Everyone was falling and rolling all over the place, it was sooo funny!

-80's bash. Me and some of my A-Chi-O sisters dresed up for the Homecoming dance which was themed for the 80's. We looked like the Six Chicks from 13 Going on 30. I LOVE the 80's! I really wish sometimes I was born in the 70's so I could've grown up in the 80's. The clothes were bright and crazy and eccentric...kinda like me! haha : )

-Chili Cook-Off...this is one of my favorite HBU traditions. All the organizations get together and have a table and have to cook chili. Our chili was soo good, but it was spicy!! We also made aprons. They all looked adorable.

On Saturday, the day of the game, my mom and grandma came into town to see me and go to the game. It was so much fun. My mom loves coming down to HBU. My dad was bummed that he couldn't be there because he always comes down too.

Overall Homecoming was fun, but I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving. Ohhhhh yummmm...I love me some turkey. Thanksgiving is the second best holiday, next to Christmas of course. And can I just say I'm so happy that stores are decorated for Christmas AND are playing Christmas music!! : ) : ) : )

But anyway that was my little spill of homecoming. I have some pics of the stuff I was talking about....hope ya'll enjoy!

First Official Post!

Hey y'all! This is Nina and I'm so excited about my first blog post! There's so many thoughts inside of my head...I have no idea what I want to say first! I guess my first post will just tell you a little bit more about me.

I'm currently a junior, and I can honestly say that I love HBU more and more everyday! I can't believe that I'm a junior...I'm halfway through the year and I still think it's sooo weird to say : ) Anyway, I like to get involved at HBU because I think I enjoy it more that way. I'm in a sorority, and i LOVE it!

Overall, I just feel extremely blessed to be a part of this university. I mean y'all wouldn't even know HOW different HBU used to be when I first got here. It was pretty great then, but it's AMAZING now!!!! The campus in general has changed so much, as well as student life, etc...but of course all changes for the better.

Okay, so this week is Homecoming and I'm so ready for it! I love the week because we always have so many activities, and I'm a busy person. Weird as it sounds, I love to stay busy...if I don't then I get bored. REALLY bored. Anyway, last night we had something called Banner Bash and that's where all the organizations get together and each paint different spirit banners for the week. The theme this year is Rolling Through the Decades, and I'm not gonna lie...one of my sisters sketched this INCREDIBLE idea! Shoutout to Liz...it's beautiful! Now that it's dry, hopefully I can get pictures of it!

Well I think this is all for now. As I'm typing, I realized that I think I'm gonna fall in love with this whole blogging thing. My friend Ashley would love to hear that ; ) but I really would love to have a tagline, like in Anchorman (stay classy san diego, anyone?) If anyone has any ideas, I'm totally up for hearing them!

Thanks everyone!

Only you can make your week fabulous!
