New seesters! :)

So yesterday, we picked up three new sisters and I am soo excited about them!! It was a fun day yesterday!

So in the around noon we had lunch with Annie and then we offered her a bid, yayyy for that!! :)

Thennnnn at night we had dinner with Courtney and Raquel and we offered them their bids...double yayyy for that!! :)

After that we went and delivered a framed copy of Phi Kappa Psi's creed that our chapter signed for them because their Founder's day is on Thursday. They really loved that.

Then we went to get ice cream and we came back and played catchphrase and watched Youtube videos at my place. Sooo as you can see, it was a fun fun fun day!!

Anyway, i'm still soooo excited about getting to make memories with my new sisters and my current ones. It's gonna be an awesome rest of the semester!

Here's some pics of last night!!

Study, study, study

Okay so I feel like I'm almost drowning in assigments.
I have two tests tomorrow and I had two papers due last week,
and then a couple projects due before then. It feels like it never ends.
I guess it's not that bad, considering that it is almost midterms,
but nonethess it's tiresome. I feel like I've been doing a good job trying
to stay on top of things, but at the same time, I'm just super super super tired.

I'm going home next weekend and I'm soo super excited!
I get to see my best friend, Gaby because she'll be in town for her dad's birthday.
I love going home when I haven't been home in while.
My parents get so excited to see me, and spoil me a little :)
It's nice, especially when I need to get away.
Shoot, after all these tests, papers, and proects...
it's gonna feel like I'm on vacation.

So this a total random thought process,
but I remember back in high school
when my parents said that the memories and relationships
that i made in college would last me forever.
I used to think, "yeah right...i'll always be bff's w/ my high school buddies.'
But that is sooo NOT the case.
Yeah, I have the few that I still really talk to and hang out with,
but I can't imagine my life without the friends I've made in college.
We have the BEST Memories.

One funny story is on Friday night I went to Whataburger with a couple of my sorority sisters...Rachel and Marissa and we pull up to the window to pay
and the guys in front of us get out of their Hummer and start to walk towards my car.
Immediately we get nervous, but apparently all they wanted to do
was ask us our plans for the night.
Anyway, Marissa's in the backseat but immediately starts gettin crunk with the guy
and is like "GET BACK IN YOUR CAR SIR, WE ARE NOT HANGING OUT WITH YOU!"
It was H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S! She sounded like a cop. We laughed soo much after they left.

Moral of the story, college is great and fun.. the best memories are made a whataburger? Ha, not, but really I love being in college :)

Make it a great week ya'll!!!

Love is Waiting..

Sooo a couple of weekends ago, I went to see some friends in Waco and while I was there they were telling me about Brooke Fraser...she has an incredible voice! Oh goodness, anyway I downloaded her album Shadowfeet when I got back and I have listened to it just about everyday...it's THAT good :)

She has this one song called Love is Waiting, and she's talking to her darling...but she has this ONE awesome line. It goes...

"So give it time, give it space, and be still for a spell,
When it's time to walk that way, we wanna walk it well.."

That's so awesome!! Gosh, anyway who knows me, knows that I can sometimes stress out about certain things, and that's such a great thought. Be still for a spell..I have to continually relax, and calm my mind and my heart. Everything happens when it is supposed to; sometimes I try to take control and plan everything out on my own.

Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted throughout the earth."

Sometimes I forget who I am.

Aside from all this...Valentine's is this week! Hoorah! My sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, is having a carnation sale...so hurry and buy carnations for your sweetie and support us!! ;) Oh, and you can buy me one too! Hehehe, I won't mind.

Oh and this is for you, Leah...

I have this weird thing that I do. I think about the outfits I want to wear for the next few days...yet somehow I ALWAYS overpack everywhere I go...haha oh, the irony!

Anyway, tomorrow I'm thinking of wearing this cream bcbg dress with a camel colored sweater i have and then these SUPER cute new flats I got from target! Ahh I'm excited...I love the feeling of new shoes :)

Make it a great week ya'll!!

Much love,
Nina
