More adventures! This stop: Harwin!
And hello, friends! Well, it is time for another "Around Houston in One Semester" entry! This time, two of my very good friends, Sarah (my zoo friend) and Brianna (amazing girl- hilarious and so very talented and beautiful) went to this amazing place where a girl can get lost in the magic... for those of you who have ever been, you KNOW. We went to HARWIN! Now, Harwin is a street about 5-7 minutes from HBU that is lined with many jewelry, shoe, clothing, and accessory stores ALL for a very good price! So, I have some pictures of us in jewelry wonderland... enjoy!

They were excited!

Sarah found some cute earrings...

Fabulous... simply fabulous!

Yes. That outfit ACTUALLY exists...

And we left happy with cute (and cheap!) jewelry!
Well, that was a very fun adventure, and just one of the many places a girl can get some cute clothes and jewelry (did I mention I can see the Galleria from my window?) I'll be posting again very soon telling you about one of my very favorite places in Houston! Can you guess what it is?

Organizations all around!
So, this entry is in response to Sara, who asked what kind of organizations we have on campus, and what our residence halls are like. Well, Sarah, here at huh-boo (HBU, if you say it like an actual word.) We have many clubs and organizations! If you are thinking about joining a sorority, (or if you're a guy, a fraternity) then we have a few to choose from! Alpha Chi Omega, Phi Mu, Sigma Phi Lambda, and our newest sorority, Sigma Lambda Gamma. I have friends in all four of these sororities and they all seem to love their sisters. If you want to learn more, check out this site
We also have many special interest clubs: If you're into the theatre and fine arts, there are the Rex Fleming Readers (which I am in; come watch Midsummer Night's Dream on May 1&2!) There is a mock trial team that competes in fake court cases in order to practice skills necessary for being an attorney. There is FIRM which stands for Freshmen Involved in Reaching Maturity, and there is also SIFE, which stands for Students in Free Enterprise. I could go on and on about how many clubs that exist here because there are so many! I encourage you to check out the HBU website. There are so many cool things you could get involved in if you chose to be a student at HBU!
About the residence colleges... we have four options for living right now (three if you're a freshman) The Men's or Women' Residence Colleges, the Lake House, and Husky Village (for sophomores to graduates.) I live in the lake house and I enjoy it thoroughly, but I also have many friends that live in the other residence colleges. I have yet to hear a serious complaint about either the Men's or Women's residence colleges.
Overall, HBU is wonderful place to live and get involved in. I am in a few different clubs and groups, and I love the people in them and the activities we participate in. I would encourage you to check out more on the HBU website!
Well, thanks for reading guys! Hope this helps!

OK, so I was checking up on my other fellow blogger's sites and I noticed my friend, Mr. Daniel Cadis is owning me in entry productions. This can't happen so here's the deal: I HAVE to blog more often, so I need your help! What do you guys want to know about HBU? What are you interested in? The reason I do this is so I can help make your decision about HBU a bit easier... so I am turning it over to you guys, ask me anything pertaining to anything! (Keep it appropriate please--- don't kill the fun!) So e-mail me! Comment, and I'll do my best to help you out!

Springtime... flowers, pastels, and BASEBALL!
Hey hey hey, guys! Well, it has been very busy lately, so I haven't been able to blog as much as I would like to. Anyways, I probably seem extremely excited to you, and it is simply because springtime is nearing! I love the spring for many reasons: flowers, butterflies, yellow, pink, green, sundresses, sun hats, white shoes, and most importantly... spring training. I LOVE baseball. I would argue that it is by far the best sport out there. It combines patience, skill, endurance, hand eye coordination, strength, character, and smarts. I am a huge Houston Astros' fan, and I can prove it! Leading off (last season) Michael Bourn CF, Matsui 2nd base, Berkman 1st base, Carlos Lee cleaning up in LF, SS Miguel Tejada, My man in RF Hunter Pence #9, 3rd base Ty Wigginton (bad trade, I miss Dan Wheeler) B-Rad Ausmus #11 (now sadly with the Dodgers? C'mon, Brad) and lastly good ol' Roy-O #44 (hopefully-- if not let's hope we're home when Wandy throws) OK so, I have sadly never been to an HBU baseball game, but I plan on it this season! Let's cheer our boys on, looks like a good schedule for this season. I'll maybe get some pictures up of the next game I attend!
