September 28th

Hey everyone! This week...like every other week has been crazy! This weekend was a lot of fun. The Back to School Bash (it's a dance) went really well! It was the biggest turn out for a dance I have ever seen. The police came because it was too loud, but o well. It was still a big hit! Then on Saturday was the family picnic. We had a DJ, and games and lots of prizes. A good time was had by all! My family came too. It was really nice to have them visit my "home away from home" and meet all my amazing friends. On Sunday, I spent the whole day doing work since I was so busy all week. I hate saving it till Sunday, but sometimes you have to be flexible.

This weekend, I think I will be going out with a couple friends, and then on Saturday I have a bachlorette party(if you haven't already noticed, I am not here because of my spelling abilities :) )for my friend who graduated last year. Then on Sunday, we have the Mahala Dinner which is a celebration for Freshman and their upperclassmen mentors. It is the first year we are doing it this way, so it should be a lot of fun.

Well I guess that is all....I have a presentation, a paper and a quiz tomorrow, so I better get to work!

...untill next time....

Hello again!
Today I am sooo tired! I had my first day of observations for student teaching. I had to get up at 6:00am which is not desirable for a college student. Then to top it all off, my car broke down yesterday and so I had to borrow my roomates! Thank Goddness we are in the apartments that are not far from campus. I am glad that I have such amazing friends that have been so helpful. The people here at IU are so friendly, its's great!

This weekend is going to be fun filled here at IU! Friday is the Back to School Bash. We have a band called Candiflyp coming, and we also have a DJ. Then on Saturday, there is the Family Picnic which is Carnival themed. We are getting a giant slide and lots of carnival stands plus a DJ. It should be great. Saturday Night is the Siophomore Pinning Ceremony which is one of many traditions we have here at Immaculata. Pinning takes place in the rotunda (which is reallly beautiful...you have to see it for yourself!) and the students and faculty wear their academic attire. I am going becuase I am friends with many of the sophomores and I wanted to be there with them as they reach another milestone in their Immaculata career.

Well, I think that is all for now...I will let you know how it all went! Let's pray for sunshine!!!

....Till Next TIme....

Hey! This week has been crazy! At first my classes all seemed so easy, and now all the work kinda just all fell down all at once. This week I have 3 tests, and 3 papers due. Normally that means next week will be much slower. I sure hope so! This past weekend I went down to Wildwood for the firemen's convention. It was a lot of fun, but I am so glad to be back! I missed my friends! They are the best! Well, I think that is all for now! I have a lot of studying to do!!!

Till next time...

My name is Liz Stonaker and I am junior here at Immaculata and majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences with Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Ed. certifications. I am originally from Monroe Township, NJ. I am very involved on campus and am part of everything from Student Government, to the FCS club, to New Student Orientation Chair. I love it so much here at IU that I hope to stay and get my masters here in Education. This was the 2nd week of class, and it is crazy! I was not to smart, and have FIVE classes on Thursday, but I love not having any class on Friday. I enjoy my classes a lot this year because they are all basically within my major. It makes it so much more fun. Last week I was going crazy with all the different events and clubs that I am part of, so this week I tried to concentrate more on school and less on everything else. It was nice to just be able to relax and hang out with friends. I am looking forward to a weekend with my friends, and trying to get some work done so that i don't start off next week behind...before it even starts. I know I have a lot going on next week, so I know its going to be crazy...again...but whatelse is new! Hope everyone has a great week!!! ....till next time....
