This will be my final entry! It is kinda like the beginning of the end, as my Senior year continues to fly by. Yesterday, I began my internship in the admissions office, so I can be reached there. It is very exciting to be taking on a new and exciting roll on campus. However, it is sad because it is just another step closer to the real world, in which I do not want to leave Immaculata beind for. Well, I guess that is all. Hopefully, I will be meeting many of you and the upcoming events such as the IU day this Saturday. Good Luck with everything, and hopefully I will see you around!

I kno I kno, its been awhile. But things have been SOOO BUSY!!!! I have 3 more days student teaching. I do not know if I should be happy or sad. I am excited for it to be over, however, I will really miss my teacher and students. They are all so great. I have become really close with many of them.

Well, I really have to get back to working on my portfolio.

I am now right in the middle of student teaching with exactly ONE month TO GO! It is so weird because I can not wait for it to end, but I don't want it to be over. I want to sleep in. I want to be on campus with all my friends. I am finally 21 and want to act it, but I am going to miss my students. I really like (most of) them a lot and have become so close with them.

Tonight is our first Blue and White game. The girls are playing now, and the boys are at 8. I am going to try and stop by, but I am not sure if I will make it. I love basketball season here, its is so exciting to go out and support them. Everyone, including the sisters make an appearence at the games.

Alright, back to work!!!!

We had our open house yesterday. It went very well. It was nice to meet all of you.

Today is Sunday. I love Sunday. It is so nice to have a day when you are expected to relax. Not that happens very often, but I try. Tomorrow my cooperating teacher won't be in, so I will be on my own teaching. There will be a sub, but she has an easy day becuase I will do all the work.

Everyone at IU is getting ready for Halloween. We have a huge Costume Ball, and a haunted path that is open to the public. IU students do all the acting in it, and we normally get a good turnout.

I am getting really tired!!! I just want to be a "normal college kid". Teaching is making me realize how easy college is, and how I want it back! As much as I don't want to rush through Senior year, I just want to sleep past 6am.
Once I get there, I love it, I really do, but I really have 5:55am.
We have an Open House coming this weekend, which means I won't get to sleep in then either, but it should be fun anyway. I love when people come and visit IU. I even think my sister will be coming!
I am also very excited about the Spring Semester. I am going to be doing an internship in the Admissions office. I love the people that work up there, and love what they get to do, so I am very excited about that....and...they don't start till 9! :)

Well, back to work....Hopefully I will see some of you on Saturday at the Immaculata Day!

Im half way through week 3 of student teaching! My feet hate me, I am soooo tired, I want to sleep late, and I want to be 21!!!!
I do love teaching, but I feel like I am missing out on everything here! I want to go out and celebrate Senior year with the everyone else, but i can't becuase I am in bed by 11. Tomorrow should be fun though, my friend and I are going out to dinner. We really haven't spent much time together since I started teaching, and I miss him so!
This past weekend went really well! We had an Open House, and there were a lot of families there. The weather held out for the most part.

This weekend we are going to NYC to see Beauty and the Beast of Broadway!!!! ROAD TRIP!!! Hopefully we come back alive!!!!!!!!!!!! I love my IU girls!

I love it, I really do, but teaching is sooooooooooooooooooo tiring!!!! I forgot how long high school days are! But I am learning so much and love my cooperating teacher. She is so helpful and so encouraging. I can not believe how much I have learned in one week, I can't imagine how much I will get after 11 more weeks.

The sad part is I feel very out of the loop. I have no idea what is going on around campus. And honestly, I can't even think about going to anything becuase I am so tired when I get home. I do miss my friends, I feel like I have not seen them in weeks. I am also starting to think about May. ...You know that really scary time when they want me to go to the REAL WORLD...yea...I need to work on that....

Well anyway, off to dinner and then workstudy...I have to make some money somehow!

It's Liz! I am not a Senior (HOW SCARY!) Today, I got an emails saying "If you plan to graduate, please stop down and fill out a yellow card". I wanted to respond with Do I have to?!
Well The first few weeks have been crazy. Since I begin student teaching on Monday, (YES MONDAY!) I have had Accel classes for the past 2 weeks. It has been 6 hours a day, the same classes everyday. It reminded me of HS and I dd not like it! I totally understand what you guys are going through and I feel terrible! I definately dont miss sitting there and being talked at for hours and hours and hours. If anyone is interested in the Education Program, feel free to ask, I am doing early, elementary, FCS N-12, and hopefully special, so I have pretty much had every undergrad EDU class that is offered.

Well I am at workstudy right now, I work in the Health Center. (I love the nurses, they are so sweet!)

Summer is finally here! I can't believe I am done with 3 years already! It is so exciting, yet really scary at the same time.
This summer, I will be staying at IU. I took off this week to relax and get things done at home, and I am headed back later today. It is going to be sad though to go back without all my friends there. But, it is a lot easier to get things done without everyone hanging out, and having to stop for classes. We are almost done! YAHOO!!!! The last two weeks have been crazy with final presentations and all that other "fun" stuff. Tomorrow is the last day of classes, and then Tuesday begins finals. I am excited that we are almost done!
After that, we all have to start packing up and moving out. I am in charge of Orientation, so I will be staying at IU all summer, but it stinks that all my friends are leaving. The summer is really quiet. Well, I guess that is all. I have 2 more projects that need to be done for tomorrow, and a meeting tonite.

Spring Fling is our biggest weekend of the year...AND ITS RAINING!!!!!!!! how sad! Well we had a dance last night, and it was interesting to say the least! IU is not the quiet school it used to be! There were lots of people there and I think everyone had a good time. Today, we are supposed to have a big picnic wiht a giant slide and all. We are supposed to tie-dye shirts, and have a preformer, and who knows right now with this crazy rain! Maybe we can move everything till next weekend! Alrite, Let me use this time to get some work done!!!

But, I go so much done! I still feel like I have a lot to do, but now I have no work left to do this week! I did everything due before break, and then some. I really do not want to spend all of break doing work, that is why I did so much today.
Plus, after break, we have Spring Fling, and so many other activties. I really will not have time to do it then. The end of the year is coming so fast! I can not believe we only have like 3 weeks left. This is the hardest time for education majors, becuase we really do not have any finals, but instead we have unit plans and lesson plans, and they are all due the week before finals.
I am also working on the New Student Orienatation for this summer. If anyone is deposited, you will be getting info from me soon! I can not wait! NSO (what we call it) is so much fun. I will actually be spending the summer here working on it.

Alright, that was enough of a break....Back to work! and then 2 meetings tonight!

Friday, we had Mr. Immaculata, which was sooo funny. The theme was Men in Black, and they guys looked great! The talents were....interesting....to say the least. And then, we had an afterparty which was kinda crazy, there were a lot of people there.
On Saturday, we had the Black and White Gala. It was a semi-formal dance and it was in the Great Hall which is a really nice room on campus. A lot of students where there, and they were all dressedbvgbgv up. It was so nice to see everyone dressed.
Sunday we had a Benefit for Sara Hanna, a girl who was a freshman last year. Sara was in a bad car accident and her family is having trouble paying the bills.

It was a very successful weekend, and everyone had a great time. I will try and get some pictures!

ALso, on Sunday, we are having a Battle of the Bands to raise money for Sarah Hanna, who was a student at our school last year who got into a very bad car accident. I love Friday! It is the best day of the week! I don't have classes, so I kinda have the day to run around and get things done before the weekend. Today, I am babysitting, and then going out tonight with some friends for St. Patricks Day. This weekend is pretty calm for me becuase it is greek week so they have their formal and all of their stuff going on, and next weekend is parents weekend. The crazy part though is the weekend after is Mr. Immaculata....it should be crazy....I took pictures last night at the Greek Talent Show...i will try and figure out how to upload them and put them up!

All right, off to babysitting...have a good (and green) weekend!
