Roommate's birthday was the other day-- a bunch of us drove into Philly to the Hard Rock Cafe to celebrate her 21st. I'm not really a city girl myself, but it's nice to have relatively easy access to the museums, shows, and restaurants there.
I'm still insanely busy-- I suppose I'd better just stop being surprised and get used to it-- it appears to be a year-long trend.
THE OFFICE SEASON FOUR PREMIERE WAS LAST NIGHT HOORAY! The summer is too long to wait for new episodes-- yeesh, that show cracks me up. I was happy for no reason when they were discussing religious beliefs because they thought the office was cursed and Stanley was Catholic. Hahaha, that guys is so obnoxious.
I definitely need to take some time for relaxation slash fun. I'm starting to feel slightly burnt out!

ONLY only 45 school days till Christmas break. I'll survive.

Wow, I really did not expect to be this insanely busy just getting into school. Some of my activities are self-imposed, it's true-- the play, honor societies, whatever other bajillion clubs and scholarly pursuits I invest my time and self in that I can't even think of right now-- but I have to work my backside off just to gt all my homework done. Hahaha, speaking of self-imposed activities, I'm really excited to be teaching fifth grade CCD on Thursday evenings-- it's awesome!! I've only had one class thus far, but it was soo amazing to be able to communicate the mysteries of the faith to these little guys and girls (We were doing the Incarnation and the Blessed Trinity-- I know, deep topics for little minds!!). I think I put my education courses (and my knack with most children) to good use-- the kids were really engaged and excited, moving around a little bit, and answered the review questions at the end of class beautifully!

Open House tomorrow-- the first one we've had on a Sunday, so it'll be a little bit different-- I think they're offering Mass in the morning.

Well, I have to go work on a bajillion of stuff. Why do I have so much reading/papers/insanity?!?! Oh, because if I didn't, I wouldn't know what to do with myself-- hahaha!

Junior Year!!

Wow, I can hardly believe it, I'm halfway done! I feel like I just stepped on campus yesterday! It does seem, however, that this will be a year to SURVIVE. Already I've had three really late nights of homework-- there just isn't enough time in the day to get everything done. I DO get everything done, as usual, but it seems that despite the long hours I spend reading and researching and typing, there's always more STUFF to plow through. I've talked to some friends, all in different majors, and across the board it appears to be the same--- I guess it's the one last burst of insanity before the finish line is in sight!!
My boyfriend came up to visit this past weekend, which was a nice break-- we just walked around Exton Mall and watched Blades of Glory which my roommate, in one of her gracious fits of random generosity, had purchased for me at Walgreen's, on her last pilgrimage to Main Street in Exton.
Godspell rehearsals started these past two weeks-- I'm really excited for the shows! The dates are November 15-18, at 8pm I think, so save the date! You know you want to come visit your future home... and alma mater! :-D
I was just thinking the other day, Immaculata is like the theme of that old TV show Cheers-- it's so nice to be someone, to be known-- to be appreciated for the unique gifts and talents you have, and permitted to channel your strengths into things that you love--- to truly "grow up," to use a catch phrase, to become self-actualized, hahaha.

You know, I don't even get paid for this stuff--- yes, I actually do love Immaculata that much! And nerdy is the new cool... at least, that's what I keep telling myself.... :-P

Be well, keep on smiling!
