Back In The 260
Ladies and gentlemen I welcome you back to my blog. I would like to apologize for the time between blogs it was an unexpectedly busy break.
I planned on relaxing, doing nothing, and sleeping in every day during break. I got a call a couple days after Christmas and ended up working just about every day. I spent my days putting together a synthetic hockey rink got goalie practice. It ended up taking just about the full three weeks I was home and it wasn't as simple as I thought it would be. We ended up having to find the correct pattern to lay down the slabs, fit and secure the walls, fabricate doors, find a way to hang nets, and make the upstairs more comfortable and safer for parents and younger children.
When the fabrication on the skating surface was complete I then moved on to fabricate lockers and seats for the players. They look like lockers that you would see in a major league club house.
When I was finished with all of the hockey rink work I moved on to painting the inside of a former teacher's house. That took three days and there will be more to do when I go home again.
My dad and I drove out to Indiana yesterday and it took us just under 15 hours. The trip was a little over 900 miles. Everything went smoothly and the only rough spot we hit was in Syracuse, NY when we drove through snow for about two hours. Other than that the traffic was never bad, not even when we went through Cleveland.
As I said, my dad came out with me. He will be staying until next Thursday and will be able to see hopefully two of my basketball games. It has been a lot different not having my parents at my games and there to cheer me on.
Classes start up next Wednesday and I don't see myself having any problems with my classes this semester. When I find out more about what my classes entail, I will let you know.
Until such time I hope you all have a great week!! Thank you again for stopping by!
