Spring Is In The Air

Ladies and gentlemen welcome back! I know it has been a while since my last post and I'm sorry for that.

I would like to start off by saying happy April! We all know that April usually brings in the spring weather and also some rain. I will gladly take what comes next month and in the months to follow for just a little rain now.

School work is more of the usual. Tests and homework scattered through out the week. I know that I am ready for summer to be here and to get home so I can relax. It will be refreshing to get home and go to the beach whenever I want, soak up some rays, and do nothing for a little while. Of course, I will be working so that is obviously going to take up some time.

The good thing about my work is that I get to be outside doing what I enjoy. Whether I'm working at the race track or doing yard work I still get to be outside which is all that really matters.

It is getting to be about that time for finals and no one is looking forward to those. I don't think mine will be all that bad, I just hate tests.

Well, it is time for me to get back to my homework. I hope you all have a good weekend and I'll be writing again soon.

Riddle Me This

I'm at a loss for words here. If any of you know the answer to this please tell me what it is. Why do some people call into a place of business and they get angry with the person they're on the phone with when they had absolutely nothing to do with their bad mood? If you know the answer to this please feel free to leave a comment and let me know. It would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if anyone knows why people find it necessary to get into other people's personal lives, could you tell me why? It seems like no matter what goes on in our lives there is always someone who just can't stand to see us happy and need to try to make us miserable.

Before anyone gets into anyone else's business I think they should stop and think about how they would feel if the tables were turned.

These things have happened to me lately and I'm not going to lie, it's really starting to get on my nerves. I've been able to keep my cool and not let it effect how I go about my day, but still. Things like this get annoying and I'm sure we've all experienced it from both sides. It isn't something that needs to happen. I think that we as a society, yes I'm including myself, need to stop getting into everyone else's business unless we're asked.

In this case, I am asking you to get into my business a little bit. I'm asking for your input on the things I've talked about above.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you all have a great week!

Shoot For The Moon

The title of this blog is more of an indication of what I plan to do instead of what I've been doing. Lately, I've been slacking all around and I know it. I also know that with the end of the year coming up, this is no time to be lazy. Finals are right around the corner, projects will be getting assigned, and the fact that I have to get home in a month is lingering in the back of my head.

I don't mind taking tests, as I've said in an earlier post. I've never been the type to sit down for hours and study until I'm sick. I learn it in class, look over my notes a little bit as a refresher, and take the test. So far it has worked out in my favor. Yes, I know that my grades could be a little better, but they could also be a lot worse.

I have a presentation coming up in my Humanities class over architecture. I do appreciate a good work of architecture especially after taking building construction classes for two years in high school. We studied some various types of architecture and now I'm getting more of a historical background. As a history buff this is right up my alley.

Brian Littrell once said, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." I look at this as though if I strive perfection, even if I don't reach it I'll achieve greatness. We all make mistakes. There isn't a single person out there that can honestly say they have never messed up at some point in their life. In order to make up for the mistake, we must learn from them. Don't let a mistake stop you from doing what you set out to do. Consider each mistake a lesson. Thomas Edison said, "I didn't fail 2000 times, I simply found 2000 ways to not make a lightbulb." Learn from this. Think about what life would be like if he had given up when he made a mistake. What would the world be like if we didn't have the lightbulb?

Never get yourself down. Always remember to shoot for the moon.

We're Getting Closer!

It is the last week of April and just like it has been all month, they're calling for more rain. With today being Easter Sunday I recently heard that if it rains today then the next seven Sundays have rain. I'd never heard that before this weekend but I'm hoping it isn't true.

My Easter was spent with family, as usual. We went to my uncle's house so it was him and his wife, my aunt, three cousins, and the baby. We watched some TV, talked sports, ate a TON of food, and then slowly slipped into a food coma when we were done. The ham was cooked to perfection, sweet corn is never a let down, scalloped potatoes are one of my favorites, and a salad to balance things out a bit. For dessert my aunt made a jell-o cake that was to die for and to go along with that there was a blackberry pie and ice cream. I think, if possible, Jesus wouldn't have minded having that as the last supper. We may have to rewrite a book or two, but I think you get my point.

Finals are slowly starting to creep up on us. While it is great to get away and spend time with family, the thought of school work is always in the back of my head. I still don't know exactly which classes I have finals in and which ones I don't. You see, here at Tech, some professors will actually give a project as the final instead of a test. When this is the case the presentations are usually the week before finals week so in a way it is like you're getting out a week early. I'm perfectly okay with that.

Well it is getting to be about that time where I can no longer put off the homework that I have. I want to thank you all for stopping by and I hope you all have a great week.

God Bless!
