I know that I said I would give you a full update on my trip to London, and post pictures from my trip. I promise I am still going to do that. However, I have a different exciting update to share with you before I do that! This past weekend I moved out of my parent’s house and into my own house with a friend that I grew up with! I am stoked about it! It is definitely a big step I’ve taken in my life and I believe I’ve been ready to do it for a while now. The last couple of years I have wanted to move out and be on my own. I am a very independent person and like being on my own. My roommate and I are both very busy people, so we will only see each other at night lol. We both have the same type of personality, and I see this working out great!
I am very thankful to my parents for letting me stay at home after high school. Being a college student means your usually broke, most of the time. Luckily I have had a few jobs that have been willing to work around my class schedule throughout the time I have spent in college, and because I lived with my parents I was able to save money by staying with them. I have had people say that it’s smart to live at home and save as much money as you can while you’re in college, and I agree. But sometimes there are people who are ready to take that next step before getting out of college. This is a step I am very excited about taking, and I will make sure I keep you updated with any awesome stories that come up. =)
Now that I am moved out, it is time to start unpacking all my things in the new house. That is going to be a huge process. I never realized how much stuff I have, until I started moving it all. It is definitely time for some spring cleaning, and then once the weather gets a little nicer, it’ll be time for a garage sale! I am looking forward to summertime. We have an awesome fire pit in our back yard, and that will be put to use! Roasting hot dogs and making s’mores are on the to-do list. =)
There is just a little over a month of the semester left, and it is going to go by really fast. These next few weeks will be packed full of homework, and projects that will cause me to lose sleep, and eat roman noodles for almost every meal. (Classic scenario for a college student) But I look forward to it because that just means summertime is getting closer and closer. This summer looks to be a great one, and I intend to let you know what goes on this summer!
Until next time,
Megan
