Summer sure does fly!

Hey!
Well it's been way too long since my last blog. My summer has been jam packed with fun summer stuff! I work at the YMCA daycare program in my home town (Wabash) where my job is to come up with fun games and activities to keep the 50 kids entertained between swimming and fieldtrips! Almost every weekend I go to my b/f's parents house where they have a pond and we paddle boat, canoe, kayak, etc! I love love love being outside in the summer and going on late night runs...there's nothing better. This week is 4-H week in Wabash...which is a very big deal around here! Next Friday I'll be competing in the Wabash County Scholarship Pageant and hopefully be getting some scholarship money for the fall! This summer I turned in my car keys for a bike since the gas prices are outrageously expensive so it has been great riding around town on my bicycle..except for when it rains and storms...then it kind of sucks...but oh well! I'm psyched for this Friday because I was accepted into the dental hygiene program for IPFW and there's a luncheon and orientation for it! Since I'll be in Fort Wayne I'm definitely going to be hitting the zoo...love it there! Until next time...peace!

A Semester winding down

Hey everyone!
I can feel the end of the semester coming on! It's time to begin studying for finals and turning in any assignments that the professors will still accept! I love this time of year where summer is just around the corner waiting to reward you with a break after all of the hard work that you've done all semester and year. The sun has been shining and the weather is perfect..not too hot and not too chilly! I don't know about the rest of you but I love the free food that we've been getting this week! I plan on being outside as much as possible this weekend...I'm actually starting to get a tan! I took my last quiz for my microbiology lab and did well on that...I seem to always do better on tests when I know it's my last chance to raise my grade before finals! I can't believe there's only two weeks left in the semester! YEAH!

Procrastination

Hello All,
I have been super busy these past 2 weeks. I've done everything from attending a Carrie Underwood/Josh Turner concert (I'll include photos in my next blog) to visiting an Oral Surgeon in Kokomo to discuss how many of my wisdom teeth will need to be pulled...yikes. I'm loving the warmer weather we're now and FINALLY getting here. I've had a major case of "the end of the year slacking" going on! But I think I'm back on track to stay focused enough till I'm done with finals!...I hope. I'm in the process right now of getting re-hired for my summer job back home in Wabash. I work at the YMCA Daycare and I love it.

I hope everyone is enjoying the sun and warmth!

A new week

Hey
I hope everyone had a good Easter for those who recognize the Holiday. I think it's a great excuse to eat all the jelly beans I can and get together with friends and family! I had a mid-term this morning at 8 am...yikes...that I was a little under-prepared for mainly because I chose to sleep rather than study...a choice I make too often. I've had a fairly busy day today already which is always fun for me because it makes my Mondays go faster. Next Friday morning...very early morning...I have to go to Kokomo, IN to meet with an oral surgeon to get my wisdom teeth pulled. As a dental hygiene student you'd think I'd be chill and know what to expect but I'm pretty nervous...at least this time around it's just a consultation to see how many will need to be pulled out...but it's still making me anxious. I'm going to go outside now because it's nice and it's supposedly going to rain/snow tomorrow! Peace!

Return from Spring Break

Hello All,
I've survived my first week back from Spring Break. My break ended up being pretty okay...I didn't get anything accomplished that I had hoped to do but my brother came and spent the week with me and the weather was nice so I can't complain. We spent a lot of time outside and I have found that fresh air can do wonders! My Abnormal Psychology test that I had Monday went well as did my quiz in my Microbiology lab...which I was kind of dreading. I can feel the rush of the year ending as my professors are starting to cram in a bunch of information already but as long as the weather keeps getting warmer I'll be just fine! Peace!!

Happenings

With spring break around the corner I thought I would show you where I wish I was going...

...but instead I will be here in Fort Wayne. I plan on working, catching up on my reading, making a sweet snowman since it's sounds like we'll be dumped on, and of course studying for my test that will greet me the Monday after break. Oh I also hope to watch every Gilmore Girls episode...it's a very ambitious goal but if you've seen the show you'd know why and if you haven't seen it...you should it's very addicting though so watch out. Well that's all I have for now!

Hello!

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my blog. Since this is my first entry I'll just give you some general information about myself! I am a sagittarius, vegitarian, I love to listen to music...good music and watch movies. I really enjoy almost all music from the mid 60's to 70's. I think those artists sang and performed with the most passion and I like a few modern-day musicians as well. To name a few I'm into The Doors, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, John Mayer, The White Stripes, etc. I have way too many favorite movies but some of my top choices are Forrest Gump, Fight Club, Drop Dead Gorgeous, What's Eating Gilbert Grape...pretty much anything with Johnny Depp or Tom Hanks, etc. My lists go on and on.

This Saturday I will be attending an Open House for the Dental Hygiene program that I'm currently applying for...there's always something going on here on campus. That's all I have for now...if you have any questions let me know...I look forward to hearing from you!
