Last Week of Freedom!

Hello everyone! First and foremost--It is SO hot outside! I'm in Marion for the weekend spending time with my family, but it looks like we wil be sitting in the air conditioning today!

Wednesday, my boyfriend & I traveled to Sandusky, Ohio to Cedar Point. I had soooo much fun and it was our first time going to a park together, so that made it even better! BUT it was about 90 degrees....I had a headache all day from the heat and the rush of all the crazy rides we rode. I usually get really sick if I'm out in the sun for too long, so I sucked up all the free water I could from the food stands! :) My favorite rides at Cedar Point are the Millenium Force & the Dragster! We had to stand in line for about a hour to ride them, but it was worth it! I can't wait to go again in August....I need to save up my money again to splurge!

Sadly, it's back to reality. I took my boyfriend back to Michigan, so being in Fort Wayne is going to be lonely without him around! On Monday, I will be starting my Bio 204 Lecture class & Lab! I'm kind of nervous about it because Biology is a hard subject to conquer in itself, and summer classes are faster paced. Since I've already taken Bio 203, I know what to expect for the most part. Going to class only three days a week is going to be somewhat nice, but I already know I have a challenge ahead of me! I'm just trying to get my mind right now; I know I'll be able to handle this if I just stay FOCUSED....that's the most important thing about being a college kid- without being focused, you'll be completely lost! That's a piece of advice for the freshmen class arriving in August. Just manage your time & never lose sight of the task ahead & you will make it!

Summer....or is it?

Hi everybody! Just to give you a couple updates on my life.....

I haven't been doing much....It's been pretty boring this summer thus far. I'm actually ready for classes to begin again so life can be brought back to campus. This past weekend, my grandmother had her 82nd birthday party in Marion! I love my grandma to death so I was pretty excited about it. It was nice to see all of my family together for a positive reason & to see everyone smiling, laughing, and having a good time.

I'm now back in Fort Wayne with my cousin Cherrelle! We're just going to be here for the week relaxing, until we return home for her sister's (my cousin's), and my other cousin's graduation this weekend. I'm glad my cousins are graduating high school & continuing to college to further their education! It's truely a blessing....the best part is that they will be coming to IPFW! So if nothing else, I will have family here. :)

Another upcoming thing I'm excited about--My interview for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program! I would be a Big Sister to a girl younger than me, and spend time with her doing activities she would enjoy. I'm an only child on my mother's side, so I didn't have a little sister to do things with and give advice to. (Three sisters and two brothers on my daddy's!) I never lived with any of my brothers or sisters though, so this opportunity would honestly be a blessing from God to me & a life experience. Wish me luck!
