Now for the week at hand....

This week was also crazy. We had Monday off then Tuesday was the innaguration. OBAMMMMAAA. Okay I just felt compelled to say that. In every class I was watching it so LHU does support politics. Tuesday was also the last day to add classes. I need a math course so I was running around. My fraternity Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity is having rushes all this and next week. This weekend the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta from the divine nine are hosting a celebrity look alike party in Rogers gymnasium. I am contemplating who I want to be. With the right weave I can be anyone LOL. No but seriously is Marilyn Monroe a celebrity and could I just be the black version? Is that offensive? I don't think so. Until next week..... If you guys have any feedback or questions just reply!! Have a nice weekend and stay tuned to the weekly like of ALYSHA JANNAY JONES dunnn dun dunnnnnnnn...

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.Celebration

I'm back!!!!!!!!! Hey guys okay last week was a little hectic. We started school off with a bang. Classes were fine the first two days and Wednesday we celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. with a program put on by the Office of Human and Cultural Diversity, English Department, and the office of Social Equity. I was invited to have lunch with the keynote speaker who was Amiri Baraka. We had a nice meal that Bentley cooked; some smoked salmon rice, salad, soup, and carrot cake! Let me find out Bentley is a real restaurant. Then I escorted the speaker over to Price (our auditorium). A dancers opened up the presentation then I read a 3 page bio to introduce the speaker. It went off without a hitch until I got to the end. I said it gives me great pleasure to produce !!!! Then I switched it up real quick and said to introduce. LOL Hopefully not too many people noticed! We live and we learn I guess that public speaking class came in handy!!! That same night we had a historically African American play with all African American actors. I loved it! This was all thanks to Cynthia Ward she was the go getter and helped us to recieve all of this.
