The only reason I noticed that I was sick was because I had a headache. Thank goodness we have an infirmay on campus. I went there they took my insurance and gave me medicine. They said I had a sinus infection and a mtemperature. They gave me some antibiotics and mucinex! Mucinex is $14 in the store, and I got it for free. So use your resources wisely. This week I am going to be taking it easy. Aresenic and Old Lace opens which is another play I said I was not doing anymore but I am in love. I keep coming back. Did I mention we have a good Theatre department. Okay I think I plugged theatre enough for today. They introduced the people one by one and some of the things they said were too funny along with the songs that they selected. I bought my friend for $24.00 and other people went for $60.00 and $80.00. This was a fundraiser and it was a huge sucess. ALso last night the voted for a new exec board for the Black Student Union..YAY!! Tommorow KAPPA's are having a party at Fitness Unlimited which is downtown on main street and I am so excited. Classes were fine the first two days and Wednesday we celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. with a program put on by the Office of Human and Cultural Diversity, English Department, and the office of Social Equity. I was invited to have lunch with the keynote speaker who was Amiri Baraka. We had a nice meal that Bentley cooked; some smoked salmon rice, salad, soup, and carrot cake! Let me find out Bentley is a real restaurant. Then I escorted the speaker over to Price (our auditorium). A dancers opened up the presentation then I read a 3 page bio to introduce the speaker. It went off without a hitch until I got to the end. I said it gives me great pleasure to produce !!!! Then I switched it up real quick and said to introduce. LOL Hopefully not too many people noticed! We live and we learn I guess that public speaking class came in handy!!! That same night we had a historically African American play with all African American actors. I loved it! Alysha Jones targetx Well. Last week, I had sooooo much work. Moral of the story don't procrastinate. Somehow that seems to be my middle name and I am paying for it this week! The weekend started with a graduation dinner hosted by Kenny Hall. (Don't wory I am not graduating!) I work in Kenny Hall's office, and we like to do something for the graduating seniors and send them off the right way. It is my job to do this in the spring. Then on Saturday I had my fraternity's formal. Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity. We had our formal at a country club it was very elegant. Then the Black Student Union had a Black and White Ball. This was linked to the date auction I told you before, since I bought a date I was able to recieve free admission to the ball. To gain admission you had to buy a toy for a child. It was a really nice idea and I might adopt something like this in the future.Then LOC ENT, hpsted a party for all of the graduates. (LOC ENT- is a group on campus that teaches people how to become a dj and promote events.) They had a good turn out. Guys I only have one more entry before christmas break. Alysha Jones targetx The fashion show went off withouth a hitch. I am so exhausted from all that makeup and all thise girls. If someone does not want to say my name for the rest of the week I will be happy! We had real designers showcase their work. That was nice and the girls had clothes that they actually made. It was where fashion met dance, and there was a unique concept behind each scene. My life keeps going the fashion show ended at 12. Then The Black Student Union threw a party and that ended at 3:00 am. I had to board the bus to the Holocaust Museum at 5:00am. I had to go home and change it was a 4 hr bus ride to Washington D.C., and you best believe that I was knocked out to and from D.C. LOL The museum resembled everything that we discussed in the Holocaust Seminar class. What really hit me in the museum was genocide going on today in Sudan and Darfur. I did not know that they also have death camps that is in humane. Alysha Jones targetx Thursday was the busiest day in the Haven. Black Student Union had a date auction. The date auction was to help get supplies for kids that needed some in the surrounding areas. Each item was worth a certain amount of points. I brought 30 notebooks and 25 folders and that equals 72 points. I brought my friend and in return I got free admitance to the Black and White Ball. After that we had a Thanksgiving dinner at the Haven I had macarooni and cheese, collagreens, chicken, sweet potatoes, salad, and bannana pudding. I cooked the banana pudding and everyone loved it!
