Back from break!

Hey!
So it's Sunday night and Thanksgiving break is officially already OVER! I can't believe how fast it went :( I had a nice Thanksgiving with my family, and I definitely had a great time shopping with my mom, aunt, and best friend in Lancaster. It takes us about 2 hours to get there, so we got up at 4:30AM to get on the road by 5:30, but it was completely worth it. We went to the outlets down there which were packed, but the Park City mall was even worse. I got a few things but not too much, funny though because I came back and bought a bunch of things at the mall back home! We always get our Christmas tree a few days after Thanksgiving, and this year we went on Saturday to pick it out. We got a cute tree and my mom and I decorated it today before I came back up to school. Now that I am back up here, I have a paper to write and a math test to complete before Tuesday morning, which I am not really looking forward to :( Math is my weakest subject, but I really am trying at it and I have a good grade in the class that I am proud of :) This week is going to be a busy one, but we only have this week and next week of classes and then finals week starts!! This semester is flying by way too fast. I hope everyone had a great Holiday and has a wonderful start to the week :)

Soon Thanksgiving Break!

Hi Everyone :)
I hope everyone had a great weekend! One fun thing I did this past week was on Thursday night I went to the bowling alley up here, and on Thursdays only it is "college night" and it's only $3 for unlimited two hours of bowling (from 9pm-11pm) and that also includes shoe rental! That is SO cheap, and since it was only my boyfriend and I we played 5 games so it's totally worth it :) It was a very busy weekend in Lock Haven with open house. We had a ton of people come, and my job in the morning is to take families into a small room and do a quick presentation of what is going to be going on in the day, and I love it :) Yesterday and today were two beautiful days outside, and this week is supposed to be nice too! I am going home Tuesday for Thanksgiving break which I am so excited about :) I can't wait to go home and see my family and just finally be able to relax with no work for a few days! I also obviously can't wait to shop on black Friday! I am excited to see my brother who I haven't seen in a little while, because he has been so busy with work. He recently got hired at Allenwood Federal Prison as a correctional officer, with a Criminal Justice degree from Lock Haven! I want to work in corrections so it will be exciting to hear all his stories :) Keep reading to hear exciting things I do over break!

Fun weekend

This weekend was a fun one, nice to get away for a little! Don't get me wrong the Haven is a neat place to be but sometimes it's nice to get away. I went home with my boyfriend this past weekend and I got to go shopping at the Park City mall in Lancaster which I love :) I bought a bunch of stuff but also am still saving money for black friday which is coming up really soon! Before you know it it will be Thanksgiving. We only have this full week and classes Monday and Tuesday next week and then we have Thanksgiving break. I can't believe time is going so fast!! I will be going black friday shopping with my mom which is always nice because having her along means she buys me things! This year for Christmas I am definitely asking for a pair of Nike Frees (which are the lightest womens running shoe out on the market at this time) and the gentlemen at the shoe store told me they only weigh .5 ounces!! Wow. I have a busy week this week so I will let you all know how it all goes. :) Have a great week!

PA Grand Canyon :)

Hi everyone,
So I finally made it to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon this past weekend! I went there once last year in February, and it was so cold that I didn't get to explore all that much. The PA Grand Canyon is in Wellsboro, and the canyon isn't the only good thing about it. The houses there are HUGE and so pretty, and the little town of Wellsboro is extra cute too. When we were at the canyon, we went on a short 1/2 mile hike, and on the hike we saw 2 deer- not only did we see 2 deer, there were close enough that we could have touched them! My boyfriend was thinking maybe if they were always in that area their whole life that they weren't that scared of people so that was why they let us get close to them. They were so cute too :) One other extremely interesting thing that happened to me this past week was my boyfriend and I went hunting, and while we were wandering around we found a poached bear in a clearing :( It was only about a 50 pound cub, but people kill them because they want their gallbladders to sell on the black market for a lot of money. It was sad but I thought I would share it with you guys because I thought it was crazy! I hope everyone has a great start to their week :)

Monday :(

So it's obviously Monday again, but this time the conclusion of a really fun weekend :) I hope everyone had a great Halloween! This morning it was FREEZING out! I guess it's getting about that time to get adjusted to the chilly weather, but I am totally not ready for it just yet. This week is going to be a lot more relaxing than last week thankfully! I only have one paper due and it shouldn't be too bad since I already have almost have of it done. I can't believe the semester is officially half way done. Pretty soon it will be Thanksgiving and then before you know it Christmas. I drove through town last night and Lock Haven already has Christmas colored lights wrapped around the lamp posts- talk about rushing! Halloween wasn't even over, let alone Thanksgiving even being that close, and they already have Christmas lights! I guess I can't say too much though because Lewisburg (where I am from) will probably have their decorations out pretty soon. Maybe it's just me but things like that make time feel like it goes so much faster then it really does. Hope everyone has a great start to the week :)
