I choose MCCC because it is affordability and is located close to my home. I love it at MCCC. I've made many friends and have had many valuable opportunities, such as being involved in Student Government as the Vice President and Treasurer as well as the founder of Love Bags. Love Bags is a charity that provides needed and comfort items to children in foster care. I am also the President of Doug's Corner, a community service club at MCCC. As a Peer Mentor I get to help students with all the things I wish I would have had help with when I first started. Things like logging into WebAdvisor, and Blackboard, and figuring out where classes are. Finally as a Peer Mentor I get to tell students all about the great clubs and activities here at MCCC. Montgomery County Community College is a GREAT place to be!

BUCKNELL UNIVERSITY

So on Friday April 18th I received my official acceptance letter into Bucknell University!!! I am so excited, I have worked so hard and I am so proud of myself. (So are a lot of other people) But my time here isn't over just yet and as excited as I am about the prospect of new things, I'm left a little sad about what I will be leaving. The people and the atmosphere, I'll miss it all. I'll miss being a stones throw away from home, from my family and friends. I've learned so much about myself in my time here and I hope that it is something that all past, future and current graduates can say about theirexperience. My parting advice would be to make the most out of any and all opportunites that come your way. I know that if I had not done just that I would most certainly be not be headed off to Lewisburg, Pa to study Elementary Education at Bucknell University.
