My favorite place on campus.

One of the most unique things about the college is the warmth with which it welcomes their international students. Being an international student from Jamaica, I often feel out of place, often with a yearning for my island oasis. The college has flags of all the international students’ countries around campus. My black, green, and golden flag is in the vestibule of the Science Center. On days when I feel alienated, standing under the flag gives me a sense of belonging. Thus my favorite place on campus would be when I walk into Science Center and am greeted by bold colors of my island. As I enter, I am reminded that while there is no place like home this place has given me another oasis and for that I am thankful.
