My Last Fall Semester at the Mount :(

Hi Everyone

I hope everyone had a great week. Well the semester has finally come to an end. I think I had a very good semester academically. It was my most challenging and I think I stepped up to the plate and hit a triple. I didn't hit a home run because I didn't get all As but I came pretty close. My last final was on Friday. It was my Physics I test and it was the only one I feel a little iffy about.

Saturday at midnight I head to Honduras on a service trip. This will be the third time down there and I absolutely love it. I go down with a group of people from the Western Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren. I stay at a children's home, El Hogar de Ninos Emanuel. Down there I do a variety of things for the home. The home and the poor country side of Honduras has changed my life. Down there I was exposed to the atrocious site of hunger, homelessness and poverty. I realized that so many people all over the world are starving and suffering. I now want to dedicate part of my life to help the unfortunate. I feel that with my major being physical therapy, I can over a variety of services.

The children down at the home have a special place in my heart. I think about them everyday and this December trip really helped me get through a challenging semester. I am very excited to see them! I will be down in Honduras for a week. When I come home I will spend some quality time with friends and family. Over break I also hope to hear from some graduate schools that I applied to. I would like to soon choose a school to go to so I can start the next journey of my life come summer.

Well this is it for the semester. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! Until next time, cya later!

First week back after break

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. I know I did. I felt like all I did was eat and sleep, haha. It was great to be home with family and friends. We had a great bit of snow when I left for home last Tuesday. It took a little bit longer for me to get home. Then on the way back to school on Sunday, it took me four and a half hours compared to three. I was on I-81 and it took an hour and a half to move 20 miles. I think it was from everyone heading back to school.

This week at school was a busy one as usual. All of my classes are just about over. Only one more week left! I also had Madrigal training this week. Madrigal is an annual event that is held each year at Mount Aloysius College. It is a dinner and a show, to make the explanation plain and simple. I am a volunteer server for the dinner. I did it last year and had a great time. It is a fun thing to be a part of. I also helped hang Christmas lights around the trees outside. I was glad when that was done....it was really cold outside. I also was a part of an auction to raise money for LOVE 146, an organization to end human trafficking. I was the top sale and sold for over $90. Now I have to go on a group date with the people who bought me and the other people who were auctioned off and serve them pizza.

Well another week has come and gone and there is only one more left. I hope everyone has a great week and until next time, cya later.
