Another week

Hi everyone,

I hope that your week has treated you well and you are all excited for the weekend....I know I am. It has just been your average week here for me at the Mount. We have had some wintry weather here and Wednesday we had a two-hour delay and evening classes were cancelled. The roads were very icy up here this week.

We had our first CAC (College's Against Cancer) meeting of the semester this week. We talked about Purple 101, which is a day to get people informed about Relay for Life and the fight against cancer. We also had the first PT Club (Physical Therapy) meeting this week as well. We discussed the different service projects we will partake in this semester, which include an MDA fundraiser and Relay for Life. We are also trying, alongside with Alumni Relations, to hold a PTA alumni social sometime this semester. I am excited for the many events and projects that will be happening this semester.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend...and for all you Steelers fans...good luck! Until next time...c-ya later.

Recylcing is here!!!

Hi everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your week. This past weekend was a big heartbreak for me with the Eagles' loss last Sunday. I was so pumped for them to make it to the Super Bowl, yet they just came up a little short. I didn't want to go to school on Monday and see all the happy Steeler fans...haha.

This week was a busy one with classes and club meetings. However, it was an exciting week as well. Recycling has finally come to Mount Aloysius College! MAC Goes Green, an environmentally friendly club on campus, is heading up recycling on campus. This week we finished putting up 30 recycling bins throughout campus. We will recycle aluminum cans, plastic bottles and paper. I am very pleased with the steps the club and the college is taking to help make a more "green" campus.

This weekend, I head to Pittsburgh for an interview with Chatham University. I applied to Chatham for graduate school. It will be my first interview for graduate admissions. I am very excited to begin the process of looking at schools. However, I cannot imagine living, working and going to school anywhere other than Mount Aloysius. Yet, it is something that has to be done in order to pursue my dream to become a physical therapist.

I hope you all have a great week and until next time...cya later.

Welcome Back!

Hi Everyone...

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday season. I hope that it brought joy and happiness to you and your family. The break went extremely fast and I cannot believe that we are all back here at Mount Aloysius College. We all came back just in time for the cold. We are now in the negative temperatures up here on the mountain! It is great though to be back and see everyone again.

My trip to Honduras was amazing as usual. I was extremely estatic to see all the children. They were very happy as well to see all of us. It was the first time I have been down at the home around Christmas time. All the children were excited to get a little gift from us! We did a lot of things when we were down there. We went caroling at a nursing home and a hospital. We canned in the middle of the city to raise money for the home.....was that ever an experience! We sold calenders at a local grocery store. We helped clean up a wall that fell down over summer. We took the entire home to see a movie and get ice-cream. However, most importantly we spent time with the children and gave them love and attention around the most important time of the year. It was so hard to leave them yet again, however, it will not be long before I travel down again.

After my trip to Honduras, I came back home and spent time with my family. I did not do anything but eat and sleep! It was so nice to relax and have no worries. I was glad that I could spend quality time with my family as well. I told my cousins, Brady and Kyler, that I would give them a shout out on here!

Well another Christmas break has come and gone. I now begin what will be my last semester at Mount Aloysius College...:( I hope you all enjoy your week, and until next time...cya later.
