Final Stretch
Students and faculty are gearing up for the end of the semester. Spirits are high as graduating students prepare for life in the "real world". Tensions are also high while students hurry to complete tasks and fulfill competencies required to complete coursework. One benefit of chilly, rainy weather is more study time! I always have mixed feelings at this time of the semester, as I feel like I've gotten to know my students well and I'm really going to miss them. On the other hand, I wish them well in their future endeavors. I hope the classes that I teach instill an ethic of hard work and critical thinking required no matter what their chosen field of study will lead them to accomplish. The spring semester ends May 8, followed by commencement on Saturday May 12. Not to worry, my blog will continue as I teach summer I BL 210, Microbiology!
