Back to School
With the end of August approaching, everyone is counting down until August 27, when classes resume at Mount Aloysius College. Like many faculty, I've spent the summer teaching a course, attending a conference, and getting lectures, and yes, "exams" prepared for fall. The conference I attended was especially interesting to me because it explored active learning, inquiry-based learning, and other strategies to engage students. So don't expect to just sit and listen if you're in my classes this fall. You'll be applying what you learn to real issues in our community. I'll see you in a few weeks!
