It has been so nice to have an extra hour of sunlight in the afternoon, especially since I get out of work at seven and still am able to catch a few rays of sun while I walk home!

This past weekend was St. Patrick's Day in Boston- when everyone becomes Irish! My Residence Hall's Council sponsored a St. Patrick's Day breakfast on Saturday morning in the lobby of the hall, to kick off the weekend. There were celebrations all weekend, but the highlight is always the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in South Boston.

Also, this past week was Restaurant Week in Boston. This is a week when numerous classy restaurants have a set menu for lunch and dinner at set prices of $22 and $33, respectively. My friends and I had a nice dinner at Flemings Steakhouse this past Thursday; which included soup, steak, potatoes, veggies, and cheesecake for $33! As college students, we sure couldn't' turn this great offer away.

In RSA, it's election season again for next year's Executive Board. This past week we elected the President and the Vice President for Housing Services. As proven by years past, it was another lengthy election. Although the meeting becomes time consuming, the General Council needs to be sure that they are electing the correct person for the position to lead the organization into a great new year. Tomorrow evening we will be electing the Vice President for Finance and the Vice President for Administration.

An exciting announcement was made this past week at Northeastern! With great anticipation, the student body is excited to hear that Ludacris will be performing along with The Roots at Northeastern's Annual Springfest concert on April 12th. Springfest is a week of events on campus sponsored by the Council for University Programs (CUP), another large programming body on campus. Although the event will be held in our largest venue, Matthews Arena, I'm sure tickets will sell out within hours!

As I wind down my busy semester of RSA and co-op, my friend Nicole and I have decided to treat ourselves to a weekend in Las Vegas- I can't wait to see the Vegas Strip and see all that the city (and casinos) have to offer!
