End of the Semester Rush
All I can say is TGITEOTS (Thank God It's The End Of The Semester)! Please note that I did not say TGIF as I am not very excited for Finals. It's been a hectic week. I have been studying, planning a big event for ACM (more information to come), and hanging out with a bunch of my friends as this is the last time I will be with them before winter break (which starts this Saturday!).
I went to the Men's Hockey Game vs. Brown, where we won (4-3). It was such an amazing game because we were down in the beginning, but we pulled through in the very end. Read the article for detail-by-detail information about the game.
I've been having a lot of free time lately since both of my tutoring jobs have ended, and my favorite (and only addicting) TV Show, Heroes, finished its season for now due to the writer's strike. During my free time, I have been working on a few projects on my own (It's nothing official, so I won't announce them, yet). They are constant works in progress that apply so far what I have learned this past semester. This past weekend, I spent a lot of time with my friends. We had our holiday party, in which we exchanged gifts and ate a lot of food. Speaking of food, I recently tried authentic Chinese food (not American style) from Chinatown, which was very delicious! My friend kept handing me different types of food, and I tried each one of them. Some of them I didn't even know what they were, but the taste was all that mattered.
For some exciting news, I am going to be an Resident's Assistant (RA) for the Spring semester in the Stetson West Residence Hall. There, I will be providing programs for the floor as well as being a contact person for guidance to freshmen.
Well, I have my last final tomorrow (a light at the end of the tunnel), so I must be studying. Keep on introducing yourselves and asking questions via comments.

Kenneth-
Hi my name is Rachel and I'm currently a HS senior whose first choice school is Northeastern. I'm from a small village in ski country near Buffalo, NY, ironically we have festivals celebrating the dairy cow instead of peaches (must be a small town thing) and am concerned about the transition to Boston. I'd appreciate you telling more about how you adapted to the city life what the change was like for you. P.S. I'm interested in becoming a Political Science major
Thanks! -Rachel

Rachel!
I'm glad you're very interested in Northeastern! With Dairy Cows and peaches, I crave a peach milkshake (my favorite part of the peach festival). Thanks for leaving a comment! I too was nervous about moving to a big city. Moving to a city though requires some basic common sense like don't walk in the dark shady areas alone at night, etc. In my first year, I would probably define myself as your typical "tourist." I did the Freedom Trail, Aquarium, Science Museum, and others. This year, I call Boston more my home. It's the ultimate college town (I know it's cliché, but it is true)! I'll make a more formal post of my experiences soon (plus some cool places I recommend). If you have any specific questions, let me know.

Kenneth -
You mentioned that you are working on a few projects that pertain to what you have learned during your last semester. What projects are you working on? Are they computer science related? I am very interested in majoring in computer science at Northeastern and am curious as to what you have done with with you have learned so far at Northeastern.
