My name is Kenneth McGrady, and I'm a sophomore dual majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. I’m originally from Wilbraham, MA, home of Friendly's Ice Cream.

As the events co-chair of the college's Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), I make sure all our events are well planned and executed. I also have two jobs. I tutor both of the freshmen computer science classes, and I am also a Microsoft Student Partner on campus. Whenever I have spare time, I love cooking, attending the Huskies hockey games, and getting lost in Boston. As of now, I am currently searching for my first co-op, which will begin this summer.

Life is Progressing...

As an RA, I have been planning a ton of activities for the month of February. The floor I am assigned to happens to be the Computer Science Living Learning Community (LLC), so some of my programs are detailed to that particular field of interest.

For all those who did not have Valentines on Valentine's Day, you are not alone (and I am happy about it!). I celebrated the candy for 75% off the day after and enjoyed it very much. I did an activity however where I arranged my floor to be paired up with another floor of females where the men on my floor gave the ladies candy, and the women gave the men cards with messages (all provided by me through residential life funding). It was a very social activity that was a big success.

This Thursday, my floor will listen to a professor talk about his life and what he did in computer science. He is an incredible speaker that I hope can inspire my residents.

Next week on Feb. 27th, my residence hall Stetson West (STW), is holding a Caribbean Food Night where students can diversify their palates and listen to some cool tunes from the islands.

Other than my RA duties, my life has been progressing as normal. My classes are continuing to challenge me as well. It's so amazing to thing that I am almost halfway done with the second semester (we get out in the end of April!).
