Midterms are ending!!!!
So even though Spring Break has passed. I am having my last midterm tomorrow! It's going to last three days (we have a take home part). This is my math class, which is really advanced, but I am definitely being challenged and am learning a lot.
A little note on how classes run here. If you go to the Registrar's website, you can see the list of courses for the Spring, Fall, and Summer. A traditional student takes four 4-credit courses which creates the core of the semester. You may also have labs, recitations, seminars, etc for 1 credit.
The traditional "core" classes are either 65 minutes three days a week or 1 hour 40 minutes two days a week (I cannot take them). There are exceptions where some labs or studios etc may be 3 hours, but you get the gist. Sometimes your major determines your co-op schedule (Do you have co-op in the Fall or Spring?). This is because the department/college sets up classes so that you you can complete your major. As a Computer Science and Math Major, I have my co-op in the second half of summer and fall semesters. This is because there are more math courses available in the first half of summer for me to take (There is sometimes a lack of course offerings in the summer since there are less students).
Either way you should plan your schedule accordingly! That's what advisers are for!
As always, feel free to comment and ask me questions!
