Rain Does not Spoil my Parade
It's official. Summer is over. Students are now studying as they are well into their classes.
If you haven't noticed, Northeastern has changed its logo to a more "academic/prestigious" one. Personally, I do not like it because it looks so much like the others. Perhaps we want to blend in, but I feel that we stand out so much as a school that we do not need to blend in. I like our differences, and I wished our school's logo illustrated that. Enough of my rant. I'm sure you want to hear about what I am doing.
At co-op my first piece of software has been released to the company (I work on internal software). We are currently getting user feedback right now, and it seems favorable. It's really cool to see a product of yours out to the public. MITRE also just recently celebrated it's 50th birthday, which means PARTY!
I recently did an RA program to go to the Red Sox game this past Saturday as a part of the Green Team. We collect plastic bottles and cups to recycle. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain during the whole game. Regardless, we got passes to go throughout the park and took some nice pictures.
Also, Jon Stewart is coming to Northeastern for Homecoming!! NU Votes, a student group, is putting on a bunch of events to encourage students to be informed of the presidential election and to vote. these events include speakers Jerry from Ben & Jerry's and Jon Stewart.
Please feel free to ask any questions about CCIS, the campus, life as an RA, or anything else. If I can't answer it, I'll find someone who can.
