My name is Kenneth McGrady, and I'm a sophomore dual majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. I’m originally from Wilbraham, MA, home of Friendly's Ice Cream.

As the events co-chair of the college's Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), I make sure all our events are well planned and executed. I also have two jobs. I tutor both of the freshmen computer science classes, and I am also a Microsoft Student Partner on campus. Whenever I have spare time, I love cooking, attending the Huskies hockey games, and getting lost in Boston. As of now, I am currently searching for my first co-op, which will begin this summer.

Happy Halloween!

Homecoming weekend was amazing. I went to see Jon Stewart, which was by far one of the funniest acts I've ever seen. If you search Jon Stewart and Northeastern in youtube, you can see some of the acts.

I also went to the homecoming hockey game where we beat last year's #1 ranked team nationally, BC! Some pictures.

Also, yesterday, the Stetson West staff put on one of the best parties on campus (Ain't no party like a Stetson West party cause the Stetson West party don't stop).

My co-RA Abbie, was a lumberjack, and I was a "cereal" killer (get the joke). Abbie had a little too much fun with the axe (note: no one was hurt at the party).

Hope you enjoyed the images. I hope you have a fantastic Halloween. Got any good Halloween costumes? I'm very curious, so leave a comment. Feel free to ask any questions as well. I can be a helpful resource.

Homecoming Weekend

It's been a pretty quiet weekend since it was Columbus Day weekend. A lot of my residents went home to their families, which made my floor nice and quiet. I may have seen a few of you readers at the past Open House. I hope you had an enjoyable experience visiting the university and getting to know more about CCIS.

In recent news, I am starting a student group called NUeats, which centered around cooking and food appreciation. There was a recent article about the group in the Huntington News as well as an editorial cartoon. We have some exciting plans including food festivals, cooking classes/demonstrations, iron chef contests, and much more.

As for co-op, I am over halfway through the experience, and I have learned a lot (the list goes on). Two of my projects are now live to all MITRE employees, and I really feel like I've made my contribution.

Now the Homecoming Weekend is approaching (as well as Parents Weekend), and I have a lot of events (both on and off campus) happening that I plan on attending.

Friday, October 17
Jon Stewart - Hilarious comedian and host of the Daily Show.

Saturday, October 18
Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival - All proceeds go to a great organization, and we will try to set the world record for most pumpkins carved and lit.

Northeastern Hockey Game vs. Boston College - First home game of the season!!

Sunday, October 19
MIT Swapfest - I'm taking my residents to this Electronics Flea Market

MIT Press Book Sale - Lots of good books at CHEAP prices!

As you can see, I have a lot to do this weekend, but I always have time to answer any questions you may have, so please leave a comment (or two!).
