The Happiest Moment of My Week
Checking my OSU webmail before I go to sleep on Monday nights usually isn’t that eventful. Ok, it’s never actually eventful. There’s the occasional e-mail from SFR (Students for Recycling), something or other about a math review session on exponential and logarithmic functions, a FYE (first year experience) newsletter, etc. But this particular Monday night e-mail checking proved particularly fruitful.
Subject: music 251 students – no classes tomorrow (tuesday)
“Yes! I exclaimed, confusing my roommate who busy studying. Now don’t get me wrong, Music 251: History of Western Art Music is a very interesting class. Honestly. I really like it. My professor is great. However, it is a two-hour class starting at 9:30 in the morning. Funny, because when I was in high-school, not having a class until 9:30am would be a dream come true, whereas now that’s becoming an “early class. The point is, I got the morning off! Two extra hours of sleep! I only have one other class on Tuesday and that’s over at 12:18 making my day incredibly short and easy. Granted, I then had to teach myself the lecture based on the notes posted online, which wasn’t a picnic. Now I know how it feels though, to have a class canceled, and it really was everything I dreamt it would be.
GO BUCKS!
