Where I Rest My Head/ Where I Rest My Case
Why I “Wanna Go Back:
-Nothing in Evanston, IL takes BuckID for payment.
-I don’t have a job at home aka I have no $$$.
-My brain is probably deteriorating from lack of being taught.
-It’s gotta be warmer in the 614 than it is here.
-I miss my capital g’s.
-I keep forgetting to check in with the rents, which they aren’t so pleased about.
-Not driving at all is better than driving a ’96 Dodge Neon in the snow amongst crazed Christmas shoppers.
-I am packing on some hibernation layers (of fat) without having the RPAC available.
How “Home Sweet Home Lives Up to Its Name:
-I have an entire room to myself, which I can totally trash and not feel bad since I’m the only one who has to crawl through it. At school, my room is immaculate because I think my roommate and I are both too scared of making eachother mad that we keep it preeetttyyyyy neat. She still cleans more than I do though. Sometimes I feel bad. Sometimes I don’t. I digress.
-Free laundry.
-Brotherly love/ family fun. Yes, there is such thing. Occasionally.
-Plenty of time to chillax/ sleep all day.
-Free food and access to a kitchen 24 hours a day. Or 10 hours a day. Or however many hours of the day I am awake.
-Driving is ok.
-I can return to my highschool gymnastics gym without any of the pressures of actually being on the team.
-My friends from home and I are a lot more excited to hang out with eachother simply because it had been such a long time.
-I love riding the el’.
-Downtown Chicago in the wintertime is spectacular.
-As is the shopping.
The pro's outweight the con's. It's good to be home. And...break is half over. :(
And as weird as it is to say this seeing as I am one of few Buckeyes in this county:
GO BUCKS!
