Oh-Eight! Happy New Year!

Hectic. The first week back to school wasn’t even a full week. However, from working at 7am on Thursday to having Monday classes on Friday and working until 9pm to trying to find the cheapest textbooks and new classrooms while keep mentally organized was quite an adventure. Everyone had to do it though, and in retrospect, it is way exciting to be back.

Invitation. Ridiculously expensive French textbook and workbook. Well, I guess all textbooks are ridiculously expensive. Seriously. That’s why I prefer to shop on amazon.com for textbooks. I got my anthropology book for 10 dollars including shipping.

OUAB (Ohio Union Activities Board). The student union at OSU provides a lot of neat opportunities for students, courtesy of the student activity fee. My friend and I got movies tickets to see The Savages at The Drexel in the south campus gateway for four dollars. Four dollars! While the union does have to operate out of a gate in the shoe until the new and improved union building is constructed, hence the temporary nickname the “shoe-nion�, it still has all the services one would expect and more!
