Spring Quarter is in the air, producing much laziness in students! I can't count how many times a day I hear "I wish I would've studied for that test, but it was so nice outside" or "I know I missed class, but I was out tanning!" Ok, so not always the best excuses, but it definitely reminds me of our spirited little Buckeye community. That's something that kind of gets lost in Winter Quarter, after football season, when it's much too cold for school pride, but it's nice to see it return. Everyday I walk though the Oval, I see at least a hundred students, playing Ultimate Frisbee or Cornhole, having a picnic, laughing with friends. The volleyball courts are always full, no matter what hour of the day (literally!). It's a very peaceful site. It inspires me to leave early to walk to class instead of riding the bus, and to visit friends across campus more often. I can't imagine feeling more relaxed, especially this close to Finals. Feeling stressed? I encourage making time for at least a quick stroll through the Oval! It reminds one of the other aspects of college that go beyond the classroom.
