Class in Session

I’ve been trying to plan my schedule for the rest of college, but to be honest, next quarter is really the only thing I can focus on right now.

This was the only quarter I wasn’t really sure what GECs I could fit in, so I decided to bite the bullet and start throwing in some classes for my major. I’m taking Comm 367, Persuasive Communication. All the description says is “Principles of persuasion as reasoned discourse, whatever that means, but it’s required, and I’m a pretty good talker. I’m also taking another required course, Comm 642, Mass Communication and Society. This is a topic that really interests me, the effect of media on society, so I’m looking forward to it. I haven’t really enjoyed many of my classroom experiences thus far at OSU, so hopefully these smaller major classes might make the experience more enjoyable. I just got into the Honors Program at OSU this past spring, and I’m taking my first Honors class in the fall, English H220, Intro to Shakespeare. Hopefully because it is Honors, this will be a small class, because I’m not sure I can get through a reading class if it’s set up as a giant lecture. Another class I’m taking is through the Physical Education department…Social Dance. I signed up for this with my friends, but I might just be dropping this. I did the dance thing all through my pre-college life, and I really want to try some new things. Although I do need to take a few classes just for fun before I graduate.
