Consider the Following
I’ve decided to seriously consider a Jazz Studies minor. I feel like this is what’s missing in my college experience. If I graduated tomorrow, I think my biggest regret from college would be not giving enough time to music. It’s something that I really have fun doing, and I think I need a little bit more fun in between all that studying and resume-building. I wouldn’t want to do music professionally, but I have always wanted to learn as much about it as possible, and I figure now is the best and possibly only opportunity to do so.
Sometimes I worry about adding minors and still graduating on time, but believe it or not, changing one’s mind isn’t too uncommon among us younger college folks. My former roommate just did her third major change—journalism to architecture to, now, finance. And one of my best friends is onto her third change of heart—business to chemical engineering to a pre-dentistry path.
I know it seems I am considering many things this summer regarding school and my future (I even very briefly considered transferring), but I figure I might as well consider as much as possible now while I have all the time in the world to sit around and consider.
