South Side Story

AHHHHH I will never be ready to go to school in two weeks! I have absolutely NONE of the RA ideas ready that I’m supposed to have ready, and my room is a complete mess! (Just to give you an idea of how I live my life, there’s a Facebook group entitled “Mount Meredith: The Survivor Story that pretty much shows pictures of the giant piles of junk on and around my desk; my roommates made the group). And now I’m trying to work overtime to make it up to my very angry boss for quitting early!
The reality is all setting in. I’m living on South Campus. That means: smaller rooms, no air conditioning, no personal bathrooms. I’ve gotten used to the luxuries of North Campus, where we had a sleeping room with a full-length mirror, a study room, and our own bathroom! I’m too high-maintenance to use the Southie’s communal bathrooms!
Ok, ok, so I have heard good things about South Campus. Actually, there’s sort of an ongoing battle between the two—South Campus is known as the “crazy drunk partiers to Northies and North Campus is the “boring study freaks to South. When push comes to shove though, I’m sure both have their perks. It will definitely be interesting to see how the social atmosphere differs on South. (But I am in an Honors dorm, and those tend to be the dorms with the reputation that everyone studies too hard and doesn’t have any fun).
Whoops, RAs aren’t supposed to say “dorms, we’re supposed to say “Residence Halls. Too much to remember! All I want now is to make it to OSU in two weeks at least a little prepared...
