Uncertain Chapters
Work has been getting much better. Today at the pool, they took the chlorine out and put in 1000 live goldfish! This is for the young children to catch. It was very exciting (and gross), but I left early to see my old high school band perform. It was sad, a lot of this summer has been about really knowing I’m leaving my high school life behind now, but an older friend of mine says that soon I will realize that that was a great chapter in my life, but there are many greater chapters to come.
I’m thinking about being an OWL. This stands for Ohio State Welcome Leader, and they are students who come a few days early and help set up the dorms, and then help new students move in. I know many people who did this last year and had a lot of fun and made many friends. Also, you get to “claim your room early, which is good if you don’t know who your roommate is going to be, like me. That’s a bummer, I feel like dealing with strangers as roommates is really only an experience for freshman. The thing about the OWL program is that it starts on my birthday, which I might want to spend with my family this year, since I might be in Columbus next year. We’ll see, maybe it will be a good way to continue this next chapter.
