Why I always wait until the last minute to pack, I have no idea. That extensive list of things to do over break? Work on my resume, apply for internships, catching up on reading, finally clean out my room and all the junk from my childhood, none of it done! I’m not surprised, but I’m disappointed.
I did manage to catch up with some old friends, spend time with my mom, and enjoy a nice holiday with my family. I guess that’s all you can expect sometimes. After all, it is a “break�.
Of course, now I’ve gotten used to sleeping until noon, staying in my pajamas all day, and watching daytime television with my biggest worry being what to eat for lunch. (Yes, yes, I know, “It must be nice�, but trust me, it was a bore). So I will have to get myself back into crazy-student-RA-fun-OSU mode. I’m looking forward to it, I love the hustle and bustle.
But every year, I am away from my family a little bit longer than the year before. So every Christmas, I find myself appreciating the time spent with them on the holidays a little more.
Still, it will be nice to come back to what has become my OSU family…temporarily at least.
