Today’s update: SO BORED. Tomorrow’s update: see today. It’s a little thing we college students like to call “Winter Break Withdrawal�. Ugh.
I’ve spent most of my free time (and by that I mean ALL my time) reading, writing, or preparing for next quarter. I’ve worked on resume and cover letter samples…I’ve been putting off, but it turns out I really just needed to sit down and do it. Now I just need to work on writing samples and actually finding internships for which to apply.
Then, along with some “fun� reading, (something I haven’t done since grade school I’m guessing), I picked up a few books for my theater class next quarter. “Death of a Salesman� and “Our Town�…two of my favorites, and it wouldn’t kill me to get ahead of the game for once. I’ve been trying to grab some articles and other readings here and there relating to economics, since I will be taking Econ H200 next quarter. I’m so excited for that class, and I want to do whatever I can to get the most out of it. I’m also making a resolution to bite the bullet and finally talk to some professors next quarter…I know I would gain so much if I did this, so I don’t know why I don’t! Apparently I’m not alone with this lack of motivation, though, since professors’ office hours don’t exactly have lines going out the door.
At least on Monday night I’ll get a little taste of the Buckeye spirit I lack during Winter break. President Gordon Gee is hosting a bowling night for us Clevelanders at the Corner Alley at 8:30 pm. If you’re in the area and you stop by, you will be sure to see me anxiously waiting with my camera to get the classic-yet-cliche picture with Gee!
