Look's like we made it...
Autumn quarter is OVER! Actually, it’s a little sad…this was an amazing quarter and a great start. But now we’re really rolling…even though it’s a well known fact that I hate Winter quarter.
I wish I could say I’m going to miss my classes, but honestly I feel that 10 weeks is enough. Sure, sometimes it’s a little fast paced, but by week 10 I’m ready to move onto something else. (Which is why I was so disappointed to hear that OSU is moving to semesters in Autumn 2010…hopefully I’ll be out of here by then!)
Mass Communication and Society 642 was a fun class, it’s really what I find most interesting to study, but the class average was a “D…..I’ve never been in a Comm class where the class average wasn’t at least a high “B…maybe these upper level classes really will be a new kind of challenge. I received a “B+, but was still disappointed for the amount of work I did….heck, I got a “B+ in Calculus 151 last year, and it was my worst class!
I still haven’t heard from my first Honors class, Shakespeare H220, yet. This one will be interesting…I didn’t exactly keep track of my grade so it’s anyone’s guess right now!
Besides that, all A’s, which is a relief…..I was very proud of myself in Persuasive Communication 367 because I gave a big final speech at the end of the quarter, which was our quarter project. Mine was about why college students should watch more news. I’ve never given a persuasive speech like that before. I think it’s important to reflect on the small accomplishments of the quarter when getting caught up in the grades at GPAs.
All I know is I’m looking forward to a fresh start in a new quarter…
