Spring is in the Air
Spring Quarter 2008: This may prove to be a hard quarter of classes, but it’s subjects I really love. Anthropology 601.04: Women’s Health on a Global Perspective is amazing! The teacher is Dr. Barbara Piperata, and she has had so much field experience, including studies done in Brazil! She brings so many real life examples to the table and she really cares about what we have to say. It’s more reading than I can handle, but I’m really loving every minute of it. Political Science 501: The American Presidency is also a ton of reading, but the material makes the classes so enjoyable! It’s taught by Charles Smith, who I would certainly recommend for a teacher…his sense of humor and vast knowledge on the topic make the class very exciting. Finally, I’m taking Communication 321: Public Speaking. This is just for my major, but definitely a much-needed skill that I’m happy to work on. This just might be the educational and enriching quarter I’ve been waiting for!
