Welcome to the Blogosphere
Yes, it’s been awhile since I’ve blogged. Over break, my computer died…blue screen of death is what they seem to call it. And without a car, a trip to the library in the snow is less than appealing. But now I am back on campus, with a few hundred dollars less but a computer more or less working. Life without a computer, even during a break from school, was shockingly difficult. At least this didn’t happen during finals week or something. But I’ll certainly be brushing up on computer maintenance in the future.
Whenever I have had a computer, I’ve been exploring the world of internet blogs, aka “the blogosphere. Even though I write a blog, I haven't looked into this very much, and I’ve come to realize what a fantastic innovation this is. Although it’s more opinions than reliable news, it allows one to explore articles and information and opinions based on their topic of interest. More importantly, it really creates communities for any interests, beliefs, lifestyles, cultures, professions, etc. I recently discovered blogs congruent with my religious background, a realm where I have often felt alone. I now feel much more comfortable discussing these beliefs.
Look around the blogosphere when you get a chance (you can search “blogs straight from the Google search page). Whatever is on your mind, whether it be career plans, resolutions for better health, local news, a cause, or anything else, support is out there.
Next weekend I will be at the Presidential inauguration with the Civic Leadership Council, and I look forward to blogging about it!
