Homecoming (Part II)

I guess I never considered that I’d have to get used to being home again. I’ve lived here almost all my life, spent two weeks at college, and suddenly, I’m back here and feeling like I want to go home. But I am home, and I know that, but I don’t feel like I’m home. Maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow and things will be different, but maybe I’ll wake up tomorrow thinking I’m in my dorm. I’ll at least be wishing it.

But I wanted to come back here for some specific reasons: I want to run in the parkway. I want to drive the van. I want to take a long shower and not feel guilty. I also want to sing in the shower without scaring my suitemates or giving anyone reason to judge my mental state.

But it doesn’t make a difference; Ohio State is home to me. All it took was two weeks. I’m going back late Sunday, and I can’t wait. I really hope my suitemates didn’t decide to do bad things to my bed, or my desk, or…dare I even consider the possibilities. I know it’s all in fun, and honestly, I kind of hope I do come back to a surprise. It wouldn’t be home without them.
