And here between the writing on the wall.

Journalism is hard work. Granted, this is my first article, and I am a perfectionist, but whoa—I've been spending so much time on this article! I swear my email account is going to drop dead of exhaustion. But I'm of the belief that all students should write at least one article for The Lantern before they graduate. You know, care enough about something to want to share it. Plus it feels good to see your name and work in print.

Because I've been spending so much time on the article, I've been putting off my homework. Political science class starts in an hour, and I somehow need to master Foucault before then. There will be a quiz; I can feel it.

I'm not gonna lie—I've been loving all the work. When I have a lot to do, there's no time to procrastinate, so you actually do the work. When I don't have a lot of work, I over-procrastinate and I hate it. In my head I'm picturing a graph with the axes labeled "Amount of work" and "Time spent working." Does everyone graph random correlations in their head, or is it just me?

Hey Knight, I write for the Lantern as well and I can understand how time consuming it can be. I'm in the actual Lantern class, and all my other classes have been set aside because it takes so much time to set up interviews, attend events and not to mention writing and rewriting. So hang in there, afterall it is an exciting field!
