So the neighbors can dance in the police disco lights.

I was just taken hostage by the Lincoln elevator to floor 24. This girl and I were waiting for an elevator, and when one came, we got on. Just as we go to press our respective floor buttons, the elevator starts making angry beeping noises, the door closes, and “OS flashes on the floor indicator. We both knew we were being kidnapped to floor 24. Many have tried—including me—and many have failed—also including me. But this time, I can say that I’ve seen the mysterious floor 24.

Truth be told, it looked like a workshop—nothing exciting.

I’ve been busy lately—with classes, extracurriculars, friends. Yesterday I was even a guinea pig for a psychology experiment; it’s required by my psych H100 class. It was pretty boring. There were four of us, and they put us at separate computers with headphones and we listened to noises that were supposed to be words but were marred with static. We then had to write what the “word we heard and determine whether the static was added to the front or whether it replaced the beginning of the word.

The second part was even worse; this time it was only letter sounds. Which basically means all I heard was static. I wrote “S for most of them for a while, and then I got bored of that and started with “X. I also wrote messages to the experimenters in the margins. I still kind of feel bad about that.

My friend/roommate-to-be and I are going to look at an apartment Saturday. We found this pretty great one near north campus. It has a kitchen that pretty much blows my mind as far as apartment kitchens go.

I have my first CS&E lab in less than an hour. I’m not sure what to expect. But once I’m done with that, I’m done with class for the week—no Friday classes!
